Vacation Rental Description
Romantic holiday villa, on top of it's own hill, amidst a half acre rural garden that is part of the lustrous green Natural Park of Oyambre and overlooking a white sand beach. With great views all around on the Parque Nacional de los Picos de Europa's mountain ridge, the Cantabrian Sea and the Parque Nacional de Oyambre.
You will appreciate the unmatched privacy and tranquility of the villa Los Milanos amidst an overwhelming nature that combines a lot of green, sea and mountains.
Cantabria is a part of Spain that has hardly been touched by tourism. Its mild climate is absolutely ideal for outdoor activities! During the summer days the temperature stays comfortable and the nearby sea makes the nights nicely cool. At Los Milanos you will sleep well. Guaranteed!
Winter in Cantabria normally does not require much more than putting on a pullover.
Does it ever rain? Yes, that also happens from time to time.
But, day long “English weather” is luckily a rarity!

Because the weather in this area is fine almost the whole year round the
choice of outdoors activities is practically unlimited.
Here are only some of them:
• Cantabria is the place to be in Europe to visit caves. Eg the world
famous prehistoric Cave of Altamira, with it's drawings of bison, deer and bears,
• Mountains, ravines, lakes, rivers, flora and fauna. The nearby Parque Nacional de
los Picos de Europa, offers opportunities to ski, climb, hike, wild water canoe, fishing,
etc.
• Visits to cities like Santander, Oviedo, Bilbao (where a Guggenheim museum is
located) and San Sebastian, are really worth it. The same can be said of little Middle
Age villages like Santillana del Mar, Barcena Mayor, Carmona…
• Gastronomy: Cantabria and Asturias are well known by for their rich variety of fresh
fish, meat and vegetables. Local gastronomy should become an important part of
your holidays, and we can advise you when and where to enjoy it at still surprisingly low prices
