Spacious "casa rural" or "country house", with lots of character. Typical Canarian house with patio garden, tropical plants and roof terrace. Large double bedrooms, lovely big kitchen/diner with patio doors and spacious living room. All wood finishes, with original hand-painted tiles in kitchen and bathroom. Thick stone walls ensure lovely, cool rooms in the summer heat. Views from the roof terrace to the sea and the mountains. 
 
The house benefits from all mod cons, with reliable hot water and a well-stocked kitchen. There is wood and bamboo garden furniture for relaxing on the patio, and a wooden decking area outside the kitchen for dining outside. Dvd player, books and children's toys for entertainment. 
 
San Miguel is a small village with a historic centre and beautiful church. The local shops take care of all your needs and there are several award-winning restaurants and bars nearby for entertainment. 
 
The village is perfectly situated for exploring the beauties of Tenerife, whether you prefer the beach, pine forests or mountains. Excellent walking straight from the house, or close by car to the national park and El Teide volcanoe. Easy access for beaches, with the gorgeous La Tejita just 15 mins away. Also 15 minutes to El Medano, a small fishing village famous for water sports. And 45 minutes to Santa Cruz, the leafy capital of the island. Although the house is perfect if you want to escape the main tourist hubs, it is only 25 minutes to the popular beaches of Los Cristianos and Las Americas. 
 
Excellent transport links. Just 15 minutes by car to Reina Sofia airport and 45 minutes to Tenerife Norte airport. Good bus links to Los Cristianos and Santa Cruz.
