The area is very popular with the older generation of ex-pats and holiday-makers because it is smaller and more laid-back than the main resorts of Las Americas / Los Cristianos but still has many small Bars, Shops and Restaurants within easy walking distance. The nearest larger town is Las Galletas, which is a bustling, quaint, Spanish seaside resort. You can stroll there in half an hour, or be there in 5 minutes by car / taxi.
