Vacation Rental Description
'Bodega Tiagua' is an idyllic country retreat for those who appreciate the rural aspect of Lanzarote. Centrally located in the tranquil village of Tiagua, you are within 10 minutes drive from Famara, undoubtedly the most stunning beach in the Canaries. You are conveniently close to restaurants, bars and shops are only a 2 minute walk and around 10 minutes drive from the charming town of Teguise that hosts the Sunday handicraft market where you can sample excellent local cuisine. The cottage has high wooden beamed ceilings and being a traditional property with thick walls and timber roofs you can stay cool in the summer heat and keep cosy in the cooler months.
There are two bedrooms, the Master bedroom consists of a 4 poster bed, dressing table, wooden beamed ceilings and en-suite bathroom. Pretty countryside views.
The twin room includes two single beds and a large double chest of draws. Country side views and beamed ceilings.
Accessibility
This property is built on on level so would suit people with limited mobility.
Outside
The garden is great for kids and has plenty of space for them to run around we have a Trampoline in the garden to keep them entertained. There is also a gas BBQ on the terrace.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach would be Famara Arguably one of the finest beaches in the canaries, a paradise for water sports including surfing, kites-surfing and wind-surfing.
Golf
The 18-hole Golf course at Costa Teguise is only about 15 minutes drive away. It is beautifully maintained and offers even the better golfers a challenging round. A fantastic new course In Tias/Puerto del Carmen which has just been built is also 15 minutes from the house.
Special interest holidays
The owners Benn and Zoe are close at hand, and will happily help with making any special arrangements, regarding activities and events on the island over the past 17 years have built up a great network of friends and contacts, you name it they can fix it. From sailing a J80, windsurfing, big game fishing, guided walks, cycling, too many to name. Just let them know in advance and they will make all the arrangements.
Travel
Hiring a car would be recommended. There is a bus stop near by however not very frequent.
Distances
Famara 8 mins drive. Arrecife 10 mins drive. Airport 10 mins drive. Playa blanca 25 mins drive. Puerto del carmen 15 mins drive. Costa Teguise 15 mins drive. Nowhere is too far as we are centrally located.
Other Amenities
Nearest bank and cash point in San Bartolome 5 min drive away. In the village there is local supermarket along with a host of various restaurants including a Sociadad and an extremely popular Canarian grill El Tenique. San Bartolome is in the other direction 5 minutes drive through the village of Mozaga which is home to one of the islands Manrique treasures El Monumento del Campersino.San Bartolome is a larger town where you will find 3 banks and many shops, restaurants, tapas bars, and a bakery.
