Vacation Rental Description
Lanzarote is the jewel of the Canary Islands and Playa Blanca is the newest and most complete resort on the island. It has it's own stunning Marina which has attracted upmarket shops and restaurants. Nearby are the beautiful golden beaches and coves of Papagaya - reportedly the best in Spain or even mainland Europe. 
 
Lanzarote is a small island but conceals many interesting places and villages. It is easy to get around by car and there is very little traffic. 
 
The weather is exceptional, this is largely due to it's proximity to the African coast. There is year round sunshine and cool breezes keep the heat pleasant. 
 
Casa Blanca is a beautiful new modern villa designed by a leading Madrid architect. It has it's own private pool and large patio area with shower. There is part shade available on the main terrace. There are barbecue facilities and a large outside table with seating for 8. Cushioned sun loungers can be placed around the pool area which is south facing. 
 
The pool is illuminated at night which makes a pleasant back drop when having evening drinks or eating al fresco at night. 
 
Two bedrooms are at one end of the villa with two at the other. This layout is great for families sharing or for splitting the children from the adults. All the bathrooms have baths and showers and the 2 x main bathrooms have bidets and double wash basins.  
 
The villa is in the centre of a large plot which is surrounded by a volcanic wall offering both security and 
privacy. 
 
Playa Blanca is surrounded by beaches and bays and there is even a pretty little town beach. 
The Town boasts many fine restaurants and bars, a lot of which have sea views. There is also a good collection of shops which stay open until mid-evening. 
 
Lazy and relaxing days can be spent around the pool or on the many nearby beaches. 
 
Alternatively, if you want to do a little exploring, there are many places of interest to see. 
 
Timanfaya, fire mountain, is only a short drive away This is a National Park and the nearest you will get to experiencing the Moon landscape! 
 
From the old port of Playa Blanca you can take a short ferry trip over to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura. 
 
If you enjoy water sports then take a trip to La Santa which is not far away on the north west of the island. 
 
Cesar Manrique was a famous artist who lived on the island. Many of his contempory sculptures can be seen around the island and his house built in the volcanic rocks is well worth a visit. 
 
Lanzarote is a lovely clean and peaceful island with a warm and sunny climate - somewhere you must visit.
