If you are looking for a holiday in rural Lanzarote then Casa de Cabra is for you. It is a restored Canarian Finca with loads of character . The holiday cottage is attached to the main house and although completely self -contained we, Linda and Peter, are on hand for help, advice or to respond to something maybe we haven't thought of yet!  
 
The Casita offers accommodation within a traditionally built house in beautiful surroundings. Life in the village of Maguez has hardly changed for many years and there is a typical Canarian shop approximately 200 metres from the cottage where you can try out your Spanish! Also, just a stroll away from the cottage is the local village bar which also serves food. While driving into and around the village it is not unusual to see the local farmers still working the land with a donkey or the local herdsman with his goats. In the surrounding towns and villages there is a really fabulous choice of places to eat including fish and ,of course, tapas restaurants. The nearest beach is at Arrieta only 5km away a with super beach bar/restaurant. 
 
Whilst this is the ultimate Lanzarote rural retreat ,we are fortunate to be well placed to visit some of the most famous attractions on the island and only 20 minutes drive from the nearest resort where you will be spoilt for choice of bars, restaurants and clubs.

    • It has a spacious bedroom, a completely private sun terrace with stunning views, outdoor shower, a bathroom with bath and shower over. Also a well equipped and spacious open plan kitchen and living room with French doors leading to its own patio overlooking a delightful garden. All linen is provided except for beach towels. We hope to welcome you to Maguez soon and will make sure your stay is comfortable and trouble free - just how your holiday should be. We also offer a delicious Canarian Tapas service. Let us know your requirements and we will create a lovely meal for you. We even clear up afterwards! Especially for those nights when you don't want to cook or would like to relax at the casita rather than eat out - try something different, this is not the usual delivery service!

    • Nearby attractions include Cesar Manriques creations such as Jameos del Agua, Cactus Garden, Mirador del Rio and The Guinate Tropical Bird Park. The neighbouring village of Haria is only 5 minutes away where you can find bars, restaurants, an art gallery and a local craft market held every Saturday morning in the village square. 
     
    The coastal village of Arrieta is also only 10 minutes away which has a fabulous beach and several restaurants and tapas bars. Slightly further north towards Orzola there are many white sandy beaches. The nearest Golf Course at Costa Teguise is only 15 minutes drive away. 
     
    The island is 37 miles long and 20 miles wide and is a perfect destination for sun-lovers and those who love water sports such as surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, sailing, snorkelling and diving. Spectacular walking scenery and stunning mountain biking are on offer. 
     
    Beaches of all sorts can be found - including white, golden and volcanic black sand beaches.
