Vacation Rental Description
Far away from tourism - in the valley of the 1,000 palm trees - you find the rooms + apartments of Bettina Bork. As a student of the artist César Manrique she has restored an old manor house and a farmhouse in the lovely island-typical architecture. In 2003 Bettina opened in the former farmhouse the small cultural centre "Arte de Obra". The Centre sees itself as a study center and automatically there is plenty of information on Lanzarote, Cesar Manrique etc. Affordable accommodation (from 25 euro room / apartment from 45 euros) and a relaxed life with many possibilities to retreat. 
The former manor house - now the home of Bettina Bork with two apartments located on the outskirts of Haria. Here you will find the necessary calm to switch off from the daily routine life. The apartments have sea views.  
The cultural centre is located in the center of the village Haría. In a few minutes you can reach the nearest supermarket, pharmacy, bus stop and the village square with bars and cafes. 
 
Accomodations in the cultural centre: 
 
Coloured room: Room for 1 person in the restored old building - with a wide bed (120x200) - wardrobe - folding table with a chair - common use of bathroom - 25 Euro 
 
White room: Room for 2 people in the restored old building - two single beds collocated (90x190) - wardrobe - round table with two chairs - common use of bathroom - 30 Euro 
 
Violet room: Room for 2 people in the restored old building - two single beds movable (90x200) – walled in wardrobe - table with two chairs - private bathroom adjacent - 35 Euro 
 
Apartment 1: The apartment is situated in the upper floor of the old building right at the big garden with old pepper trees. It contains kitchen/living room with a small corner kitchenette - table with chairs - two fold-out armchairs with good mattresses (80x185) - two wardrobes - and a sun terrace with a beautiful view over Haría. The bedroom has two single beds collocated (90x200) - walled in wardrobe - walled in worktable and a big bathroom with shower adjacent. There are two large sun terraces next to the big garden - hi-fi unit and television for rent - 55 Euro - 2 people; 60 Euro - 3 people; 65 Euro - 4 people 
 
Common usable areas: Bathroom - kitchen - courtyard and garden - car park 
 
At the residential house: 
 
Apartment 2: This apartment has a separate entrance - living/dining room with a little kitchen, the bathroom and a small inner courtyard are located on the ground floor - on the upper floor is the bedroom with a double bed (160x190) and a little terrace with sea view - hi-fi unit and television for rent - 45 Euro 
 
Additionally to this apartment you can book a further small bedroom, which is close by the courtyard on the ground floor. It is fitted with a single bed (80x190) – wardrobe – walled in shelves - 15 Euro 
 
Apartment 3: This apartment has a separate entrance at a patio with a stairway to the first floor and the first terrace - kitchen with table and chairs – bedroom with a double bed (140x190) - a second bigger terrace with ocean view - big bathroom – hi- fi unit and television for rent - 45 Euro 
 
Further services: W-LAN 15 €/week; TV rental 10 €/week; Clothes washing 3 €/one filling; Heating 4 €/day 
 
 
Notice:  
1. Prices per room/apartment per night. There is an extra charge for a rental less than one week. 
2. An additional basic cleaning fee must be paid: 40€ for a room and 70€ for an apartment. 
3. Two rooms are adequate for wheelchair users. 
4. Two little dogs belong to the centre who are always happy to go for a walk with the visitors.  
There are also four cats who keep the adjacencies free of mice. 
5. Pets are always welcome.

    Activities

    The cultural centre “Arte de Obra” is situated in the north of Lanzarote – directly in the heart of the valley of 1.000 palm trees – in the village of Haría. A small, typical place with loads of charme. Just a few steps away from Arte de obra you find two supermarkets, a market hall, bars and restaurants, pharmacy, church and the post office. 
    Every Saturday takes place a handicraft market on the village square – the “plaza” – where you definitely will find a nice souvenir of Lanzarote. 
    The next sandy beach in Arrieta you can reach in 7 minutes by car, where you find as well a bar and a restaurant.  
    It is possible to do different walking tours directly from the centre or hiking in the near surrounding area (approach by car). 
    Also you can reach in very short time some places of interest – most of them created by the famous artist César Manrique: Jardín de Cactus, Mirador del Río, Jameos del Agua und die Cuevas de los Verdes. 


    Travel Options
    • Nearest Airport : Arrecife "Guacimeta" at 35 kilometers distance;
    • Travel Info: We highly recommend a rental car for your stay in Haría. If you like it would be a pleasure for us to arrange one for you. As well there are a few busses running daily the main route from Haría to the capital Arrecife where you have access to the other touristic centres like Costa Teguise, Puerto del Carmen or Playa Blanca or to the airport.
