The villa was built as a family house, not as a holiday rental, so it has all the child friendly features you would expect. It is allon one level, so is suitable for young and old. There are sheltered terraces all round the property, including a barbecue area, with brick built barbecue. The pool is electrically heated from November to May and is professionally maintained. Unusually for the area, the property has a separate, fully equipped, British style kitchen/diner. The high wall all round guarantee privacy and make the pool area a real sun trap. There is a traditional Canarian inner courtyard, only accessible from inside the house. This gives the only access to the sun terrace on the roof. Las Cucharas beach is within 5 minutes walk, as are numerous bars, restaurants catering for all tastes, supermarkets, chemists, post office, internet cafes etc.. The golf course is a five minute drive and frequent bus services to Puerto del Carmen and the island capital, Arrecife run from the centre of Costa Teguise. Local taxis are cheap and there are plenty of them.

There is a full linen service on the day of arrival and halfway for a two week stay. There is a full cleaning service on Thursdays. The pool is cleaned and maintained on Mondays and Thursdays. All bedlinen and Towels are provided but not beachtowels. There is a separate utility room with washing machine and drying facilities. The centre of Costa Teguise is lively without being rowdy and the villa is 5 minutes walk from all the facilities, yet is in a quiet cul de sac, which is 50% residential and 50% holidaymakers. The villa is all on one leval and is in a flat area, ideal for those with limited mobility and buggy pushers! As well a spacious family bathroom, there is an ensuite to the master bedroom which boasts a walk-in wardrobe. As well as this bedroom, which is a double, there are two twin rooms.

There are lots of small shops but for major shopping, it's necessary to go to Arrecife, 15 minutes on the bus, and 1 euro! Car hire is cheap with deals from 2 days up to 2 weeks, but unless you intend to do a lot of sightseeing, a car is not necessary. There are diving schools, windsurfing and other watersports as well as bike hire, camel riding, jeep safaris, submarine, catamaran, and glass bottom boats, as well as deep sea fishing. The island waterpark is 15 minutes walk. There are numerous restaurants, varying from those serving English fare to Canarian specialist, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese and Indian, plus Pizza and Burger joints. There are loads of friendly bars British and Spanish (and, of course Irish).

• Travel Info: Twenty minutes by cab from Arrecife airport. Taxis are plentiful and relatively inexpensive.

Bookings will be secured on payment of 20% deposit of the total, subject to a minimum of 100 pounds per week. and the balance will be required to be paid 8 weeks before arrival. Payment method will be as agreed at booking, but credit cards are not accepted. Prices quoted are for 4 people per week, extra persons will be charged at a rate of 60 gbp per week each.
