Vacation Rental Description
The apartment is the ground floor of an old stone-built Canarian house (approximately 200 years old). The house is set in a small cul-de-sac with six houses and is in a semi-rural location. The second largest town on the island, Los Llanos is two minutes' drive away, and two of the island's main resort beaches are within 20 minutes' drive. Our local town of El Paso is actually further away, five minutes' up the hill by car. 
 
The house is set in a terraced garden of approximately 2,000 sq. metres. There is a private pool (unheated) on the middle terrace. This is set in a mini-tropical garden (netted area) with space for loungers round the pool. There is a wc cubicle by the pool for extra convenience and an outdoor shower.  
 
The apartment has one double bedroom, one single bedroom and one twin-bedded room. There is a shower room (with proper shower cubicle), washbasin and wc. All three bedrooms have heating for occasional chilly nights should you choose a winter break. We can provide a cot for babies. There is a kitchen and dining area looking out over the garden and the door of the apartment leads out onto a terrace with dining seating for 4. The kitchen has a full oven (unusual in rentals here) plus a 4 ring hob. There is a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and kettle. A short walk across the garden takes you to a wooden log cabin where there is a tv with satellite television and DVD player. There is a double bed in here and there is another bathroom and kitchenette all included in your rental price.

    • Sheets and towels are provided. We can provide beach towels for a small extra charge. Sheets are changed weekly and towels every five days. Rental rates include cleaning costs (initial cleaning, cleaning once a week during your stay and the final clean). The pool is only shared with us, the English owners. The washing machine and dryer are situated very near the apartment and are also shared with us.

    • La Palma has quite a multi-cultural ex-pat community and we are in touch with one English-speaking Dutch couple who are qualified divers and can arrange diving trips for you (the diving off La Palma is reputed to be excellent). Another English-speaking Dutch couple can take you hiking and organise your walks round the volcanic crater for which La Palma is renowned amongst hikers and also down the Route of the Volcanos with fantastic views of both sides of the island. Yet a third English-speaking Dutchman can take you big game fishing. Or you might just prefer to relax on the beach or by our pool. There are plenty of restaurants two minutes' drive away in Los Llanos and also by the beaches in Puerto Naos and Puerto de Tazacorte, both within easy reach.

    The rate of 280 Euros per week is for two people. This is payable in cash on arrival, no deposit is required but we like to see scanned copies of your airline tickets to confirm the dates. Children under 2 come free. We charge 5 Euros pppn for each additional person and child over 2.
