Vacation Rental Description
El Pinar is situated in the South of the island, 800 m. above sea-level, on the outskirts of a beautiful pine forest. There is an abundance of hiking trails, which are also a great challenge for mountain-bikers.
Our apartments, set in a peaceful, private lane at the edge of the village, afford spectacular views over the village, mountains and sea, as well as La Gomera and El Teide.
The place is ideal for nature lovers, and for anyone who wants to experience some peace in a unique rural environment.
Within a 5 to 15-minute walk are small shops, two supermarkets, a pharmacy, a bank, two restaurants and a few bars to have drinks and tapas.
Just below the apartments is our own organic vineyard. The grapes are harvested, trodden and pressed in the traditional canary way. The "vino de pata" (foot-trodden wine) is kept in old wooden barrels in our "bodega" and you are invited to taste the result.
Within 15 minutes by car, you can get to La Restinga, a small fishing village with dive centers, or, to Tacorón, a beautiful secluded cove, to have a swim or to snorkel, or you may contemplate the impressing sunset in an imposing lava environment.
There is a Tourist Office nearby which can help with all your needs.
It's advisable to hire a car, but there is a local mini-coach service, which is cheap and provides a lot of island services such as to the capital Valverde and back, 4-5 times daily.
