This garden villa is situated on the scenic north coast of Menorca overlooking the unspoilt bay and beach of Cala Tirant. Playas de Fornells has been tastefully designed to recapture the atmospherea of a traditional Spanish village. The beautiful garden setting and lovely views ensure the right frame of mind for a relaxing holiday.The swimming pool to the rear is shared with the other garden villas in a delightful garden.The beach is only a few minutes walk away and provides safe swimming in the sheltered bay. The long golden sands of Cala Tirnat are never crowded even in the height of summer. The property is located in an elevated position giving extensive views over the sea and inland over the rolling countryside to Monte Toro, the highest pont on the island. The large terraced area in front of the property is ideal for enjoying all this and is a favourite spot for our guests to enjoy their meals al fresco and take advantage of the built in barbecue.

    • The property is fully equipped for four people with facilities for dining inside or al fresco on the terrace. There are several supermarkets close by making self catering very convenient and several restaurants are within strolling distance should you prefer to dine out. A little further afield (5 mins. by car) the unspoilt fishing village of Fornells offers a very enjoyable dining experience in its seafood restaurants clustered around the picturesque harbour. This is where you will find the famous lobster caldereta, a Menorcan speciality enjoyed occasionally by the King of Spain in Fornells` flagship restaurant Es Pla. The traditional market town of Mercadel is also about ten minutes by car, an unspoilt friendly place where you will still find traditional high street shops that have long disappeared from the English scene.

    • Whilst many guests are content to enjoy total relaxation at Playas de Fornells and its beach, there are some wonderful coastal walks on Menorca and it is a great way of finding the more out of the way beaches. The island is also a paradise for birdwatchers as rarities such as Booted Eagles, Egyptian Vultures, Red Kites and the Audouins Gull are relatively common here. There are some excellent birding locations which the owner will personally advise on should it be required.
    Fornells is also noted for its sailing in the large sheltered bay and when the Tramontana blows windsurfers head for our bay at Cala tirant.
    Golfers are catered for at nearby Son Parc(10 mins by car) where there is an eighteen hole course.
