Vacation Rental Description
This modern, first floor spacious apartment is fully furnished in a new, bright and contemporary style. There is a living room and master bedroom balcony that overlooks the village rooftops. There are only six apartments in this quiet, four year old development, but the best feature for this particular apartment is access to a large private roof terrace which is has its own outdoor furniture for those relaxing evenings with cool breezes. There is a great tapas restaurant, named 'Es Moli' at the end of our street, and there is also a good 'friendly' Indian Restaurant around the corner.  
 
Additionally, the apartment is only a short ten minute stroll away from the centre of the lovely town of Santanyi, which has a twice weekly market. It also boasts a wide selection of charming and diverse restaurants, bars, galleries and boutiques. A ten minute drive will take you to a selection of local beaches, or if you prefer the golf course. Santanyi is a lively, hospitable town all year round and provides an excellent base from which to explore the "real" Mallorca. 
 
The town itself is surprisingly self-contained, and easily navigated by foot for all your needs. It allows you to escape the soullessness of shopping in modern retail parks, with its hyper and supermarkets by re-discovering the magic of ruminating through open markets. The ethnic sounds and smells of bakeries, outdoor cafes and tapas bars provide refreshingly welcome distractions. There is a feast of colour and curiosity to the eye with craft and ceramic workshops, as well as art galleries and trendy boutiques all melded into traditional Mallorcan-style streets, pedestrianised areas and alleyways. However, there is a more conventional supermarket near the ring road should you need one. In the summer months, there are always live music events arranged during a weekend including, folk, popular, jazz and classical styles in Santanyi's plaza - free of charge!  
 
The interior of this modern apartment includes: 
 
Bedroom 1 with double bed & balcony. 
Bedroom 2 with double bed. 
Bedroom 3 with 2 twin beds. 
 
The en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom has a shower, vanity, wc and bidet. 
Bathroom 2 has full bath, vanity, wc and bidet. 
 
The kitchen has a cooker hob and oven, extractor, fridge freezer, washing machine, iron, ironing board, toaster, kettle and a large selection of pots, pans utensils and cutlery. 
 
There is also a utility area adjoining the kitchen outside with a small balcony, where mops, bucket, vacuum cleaner, cleaning cloths are stored and a hose pipe that can be connected to an outdoor tap with a large, deep sink. 
 
Our Living/Dining Room contains two three seater couches, TV and DVD player, dining room table and six chairs, with a cabinet, Ottoman, cupboards etc. 
 
We have the provision for cleaning/towels/linen/maid service for the start and end of your stay at an additional cost of £50 as a flat rate. There is the option of self-change linen & cleaning, or maid service can again be arranged at an extra cost, negotiated mid-stay with the property manager, James Stevens - local contact numbers will be given once your deposit is secured.

The balcony has access from both the living room and master bedroom. The private roof terrace has outdoor furniture supplied with spectacular, panoramic views of the village and the surrounding countryside. There is a private car parking space allocated No 6, at the rear of the apartment building. This is a big plus, as all year round it can be very tricky to park your car in Santanyi! This property is not suitable for people with mobility problems as there are 3 flights of stairs to the apartment, and also one to the roof terrace. Palma airport is approximately a 40 minute drive, with Palma town's rich history a further 15 minutes to reach. Car hire is desirable but not essential - there are competitive rates in the village. There is a regular bus service to Palma during the summer. A list of taxi tariffs to varying destinations and a phone number of a prompt, efficient taxi firm is left in the apartment.

Cala Santanyi, and the highly rated Cala Llombards are the nearest beaches within a 10 minute drive. Cala Santanyi beach is lively in the summer months with tourist attractions. Cala D'or beach with its famous marina, shopping and nightlife is a 20 minute drive away. The apartment is also close to Cala Mondrago nature reserve and beach. Other places of interest to visit are Porto Petro, Cala Figuera and Porto Colom. 
 
The route to the beaches is both scenic and pleasant for walkers and bicyclists, with downhill, rural and rustic routes that are an easy indulgence to enjoy at your own pace. Driving is a delight, with well sign-posted and easy connected road access opening-up access to the whole of Mallorca. 
 
Vall D'or 18 hole golf course is a 20 minute drive away, and Pula 50 minutes. There are nearer 9 hole courses at La Rotana and Son Servera. 
 
The area is also very popular with hikers, bicyclists and walkers to nearby Mandrago.

There is a discount of 20% for only 2 people occupying the apartment for at least a week all through the year of rental, except July and August. Prices quoted are for the whole property on a weekly basis in GBP, converted into Euros for non-UK guests. UK residents pay into our UK account, Euro guests into our Mallorcan account.
Short stays of less than a week, and longer stays of more than 2 weeks, can be arranged through negotiation. A refundable £50 security deposit per person is needed to cover any damages and keys.
To book a reservation, a 25% deposit must be paid within 7 days - the outstanding balance must also be then paid 6 weeks prior to arrival. Cancellation refunds will apply as follows:
Up to 8 weeks – no cancellation charge 4-6 weeks – 50% of rate refunded 2-4 weeks – 25% of rate refunded Less than 2 weeks – no refund
