Vacation Rental Description
This lovely 2 bedroom casita is set in a large private olive and orange grove with stunning views of Sierra Nevada and Sierra Lugar. The casita offers all the comforts of home in a rural Spanish setting with open plan lounge/kitchen and two spacious bedrooms, one with double bed and the other with twin beds, both have ample storage space and both have electric radiators for cooler evenings and fans for the summer. Nice bathroom with shower.The lounge has a comfortable sitting area with tv, dvd+mp3 player and features a very efficient wood burning stove ( wood supplied) and the kitchen is fully equipped with hob, oven, microwawe and fridge etc. 
Outside there are two patio areas, one side is shaded with barbecue,table and chairs to sit and enjoy your favourite tipple! On the other side is the Jacuzzi area complete with sunloungers where you can bask in the sun or relax in the Jacuzzi and just watch those fantastic views, or when you have had enough sun, find the vine-covered pergola for a bit of shade. The Jacuzzi/HotTub is also very welcoming to soothe tired limbs when returning from a long hike. 
Although secluded this property is only a short distance from the bustling town of Orgiva, never more so than on thursday mornings when the local market is on and it is well worth a visit. Other days you can find all the ameneties of modern life including banks with cashpoints, shops, a couple of supermarkets, quite a few restaurants (all serving Menu del Dia including a glass of wine/beer for under €10), cafés and not forgetting the bars who all serve free tapas.

    • Granada with its world famous Alhambra and fascinating Moorish old town is less than an hours drive away. 
    The famous Spa town of Lanjaron is just 8km away. 
    The Mediterranean coast with many pleasant seaside towns and beaches is about 35 km away. 
    Several of the many very picturesque mountain villages are within a 30 min. drive and a bit further on you will find Trevelez which at 1476m is the highest village in Spain. 
    In winter skiing is avaiable in the Sierra Nevadas with pistes for all levels.  
    The area is well placed for hiking and walking and many routes are mapped and marked according to difficulty so whether you fancy a gentle stroll or a hike up Mulhacen, the tallest mountain on mainland Spain, it is all on your doorstep. 
    Birdwatchers are also well served,and with a huge variety ranging from the humble Sardinian warbler to the magnificent Golden Eagle, it is not surprising that many ornithologists flock to The Alpujarras.

    • Nearest Train Station : Granada at 40 kilometers distance
    • Nearest Town : Motril at 35 kilometers distance
    • Travel Info: Orgiva is the market town of The Alpujarras and is easily reached from various airports: Granada (60km) being the nearest and Almeria (125km), but Malaga has a much wider choice of flights and amenities including car hire which we do recommend for exploring the area.
