Casa Carolina: Up a short flight of steps, one enters directly into the open-plan living room / kitchen / dining area. Chestnut-beamed with an open fireplace (there is also electric heating throughout ) sizeable kitchen and eating area and doors that open onto a terrace with stunning views across ancient rooftops and steep mountain ravines, Casa Carolina 1 is equally ideal to curl up with a good book in front of the fire if the village turns snowy-white, or take a leisurely breakfast in the sunshine looking across to the Mediterranean sea in the far distance and even Morroco on a clear day. A short corridor leads to the bathroom and 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom is huge with a sitting area to read and relax and double balcony doors opening onto a small balcony that enjoys the same views and fills the room with sunshine. The twin-room is cosy with beautiful wood-crafted wardrobes, tasteful wall hangings from around the world and a small balcony.
The Studio apartment, for 2 people, has electric heating, open fire, and a very big terrace with room for sunloungers, table and chairs and umbella. Ideal to enjoy the same view as the larger apartment for 4 people.

The Casa Carolina, with 2 bedrooms, has a terrace with seats for 4 people, small table and sun umbrella. The Studio terrace is larger with room for sunloungers, umbrella, table and chairs for 2 people. Both have the same wonderful view across the mountains and down the valley and are real suntraps. There is public parking right outside the apartments and all along the road. Both apartments have an oven and electric 4 plate hob. There is a new public swimming pool 5 minutes walk away that will be ready for use in 2010. The owner is a qualified Massage Therapist and can provide various types of massage, eg Traditional Thai Massage or Deep Tissue massage, in the comfort of the apartment if an appointment is made.

Traditional, white-washed Berber-style mountain village, with a backdrop of the highest peak in Spain, 'Mulhacen' and surrounded by woodlands of chestnut, poplar and pine. Three small villages make up the surrounding area, each a few kilometres apart which makes for easy day-walks, browsing round the high-quality handicraft shops, stopping for some local tapas, visiting the local silk industry museums from which the villages grew, or simply drinking in the view in the plaza. For the more adventurous there are many marked walks ranging from easy to challenging, including starting points for climbing 'Mulhacen'. Granada is approx 1 hour,15 mins drive to visit the famous Alhambra Palace. Motril on the coast is reached in approx 1 hour if you wish to visit the beach for the day. N.B. 90 mins. to ski resorts.
Public swimming pool, 5 mins walk from apartments, being built and will be available for summer 2010.
