Vacation Rental Description
Molino Malagon has been recently restored in a contemporary/rustic style. There are two spacious apartments, within the mill. The first, Casa Rio, offers two en-suite bedrooms and a large open plan living area comprising kitchen, dining space and lounge. The larger three bedroom apartment, Casa Grande, has three bathrooms, two en-suite, a large kithen, dining room and first floor sitting room with satallite TV. It sleeps up to eight. The mill, which is off the beaten track, sits in its own secluded grounds and has easy access to the river San Juan which runs around the boundry of the property offering peace and tranquillity to its guests. Directly next to the Mill there is a large (9mx4mx1.8m) swimming pool for the use of the residence. There is also a shaded outdoor dining and BBQ area. To the front of the apartment, an off shoot of the river San Juan winds its way around the property adding to the relaxing ambiance. Originally, this stream would have passed under the mill operating the mill equipment, some of which has been retained and can be seen in and around the property. Now the stream is used for the irrigation of this fertile valley. The mill sits within an acre of land containing a number of fruit trees, including figs, pomegranates and almonds. A wooded dell within the grounds offers additional and much welcome shade from the midday heat. Within the grounds, steps lead down to the river which provides an opportunity to cool off, relax or explore by walking (bring your waterproof shoes!) up or down stream. It is deep enough in parts to take a dip. Look out for the fish.
Molino Malagon is a pleasant stroll (1km) from the village of Sabariego which has a bar and a shop for basic provisions. The vibrant towns of Alcala la Real, Alcaudete and Priego de Cordoba are a short drive away, all having magnificent medieval hilltop castles and a wide range of shopping and dining opportunities. The mill is ideally placed for the beautiful cities of Jaen, Cordoba and Granada with its international airport (1 hour). The mountains of the Sierra Nevada and the coast are within easy reach.

"Molino Malagon est une splendide maison pour des vacances reposantes. Elle est aménagée avec beaucoup de goût et est particulièrement confortable pour 2 familles ( 8 personnes). Son environnement, la piscine et la rivière font la joie des enfants. Cheryl et Geoff, les propriétaires sont très accueillants, très disponibles et toujours prêts à satisfaire les locataires. Ils sont par ailleurs d''une discrétion exemplaire. Nous recommandons cette location ." Chantal & Daniel Duprat August 2011

What a marvellous place to relax and unwind. We enjoyed our stay last year so much that we couldn't resist returning this year.
Molino Malagon is off the beaten track in what could almost be described as a hidden valley, and the whole atmosphere is one of peace and tranquillity.
The accommodation is cool, spacious and well equipped, we particularly liked the walk in showers.
Outside there is a lovely pool area, with the addition this year of a children's paddling pool, which our four year old daughter found hugely entertaining. We spent a lot of our time barbecuing and eating "al fresco" in the outdoor eating which was a delight.
Our hosts were exceptionally generous and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Cheryl and Geoff for making our stay so pleasurable.
We thoroughly recommend Molino Malagon to anyone looking for a quality experience in a quite, peaceful location

"We had a lovely stay at Molino Malagon. We were very impressed with the style and furnishing of the spacious interior of the Molino; we haven’t seen anything like it before (good beds)! Molino Malagon has lovely gardens around the house and is very quiet away from streets and other noise, very private. Also the nice, cool pool makes the molino a very relaxed place to stay. A very special place, thanks to a hospitable couple!"

"Les hôtes sont charmant et prévenants. Ils sont disponibles pour toute aide ou renseignement. L''accueil est parfait. Le lieu est d''un calme presque absolu. La maison est décorée d''un goût parfait (à notre opinion) Attention vu la nature du chemin d''accès, celui-ci ne convient pas aux voitures avec spoiler. Il ne faut pas craindre de s''enfoncer dans ce chemin pour joindre le lieu de résidence."

"Molino Malagon is just like Heaven on earth. We''ve spent an absolutely fantastic week in this renovated mill. The house is tastefully decorated and well furnished. The garden is really nice and peaceful, only surrounded by hills and olive trees. Last but not least, Cherryl and Geof, the owners, are absolutely lovely, always willing to help but always respectful of your privacy. In one word : we loved that week off in Molino Malagon and will definitely come back.

Molino Malagon was the absolute highlight of our holiday in Andalusia. While searching accomadations on the internet we had come across so many houses which were lovely from the outside but very old fashioned from the inside. Molino Malagon really distinguishes itself because of its stylish interior and could have come directly from an upmarket travel magazine. Recently renovated with a lot of attention for details, with a high level of comfort and situated in a very beautiful and pieceful valley surrounded by olive trees. And not to forget the lovely British couple who is extremely hospitable and truly enjoys providing their guests a great time. We found our stay in Molino Malagon extremely relaxing and can recommend this place to anyone who has an interest in travelling to Andalusia.
