Casa Sofia is situated in beautiful countryside in Santa Maria Del Cerro 6km from Villanueva De La Concepcion in Andalucia, Southern Spain, in a very attractive, elevated rural setting amidst an orchard of almond trees in undulating countryside. From the house there are stunning panoramic views across a beautiful valley. The terrain is undulating with mountains in the background. The area is visited by a variety of birds, including predators, and is ideal for walking, as the weather is often cooler and less humid than on the coast. The owners, Nalini and Barry Cook, live nearby. Nalini is a practising artist and teacher, and offers tuition to guests in her studio.
Living room: it features picture windows with views across the valley. Tastefully furnished with comfortable sofas, dining table and chairs for four persons, television, including Sky digital, hi-fi system, wood burning stove. Features air-conditioning/heating wall mounted unit.
Kitchen: fully fitted and equipped with full size gas hob and electric fan oven, microwave, washing machine, fridge-freezer, electric kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board.
Master bedroom: furnished with Queen size bed, built-in wardrobe, dressing table, full-length mirror, ensuite bathroom with shower, vanity unit and toilet, air- conditioning/heating.
Twin bedroom: furnished with twin beds and double wardrobe, air-conditioning/heating.
Guest bathroom: full size bath, shower, vanity unit, toilet ,bidet.
Parking: ample secure parking space near the house for 10 cars.
Terraces: there are terraces on either side of Casa Sofia; the larger terrace, around three sides of the swimming pool, is equipped with hardwood garden furniture, parasols, and sun-loungers. The smaller terrace near the kitchen door, equipped with a table and chairs, is ideal for breakfasting etc.ith hardwood garden furniture, parasols, Swimming pool: surrounded by the larger of the two terraces there is a heated swimming pool for use in all seasons with panoramic views from the poolside, including technically advanced water treatment which prevents skin and eye irritation.
Poolside kitchen: this overlooks the swimming pool with mountains in the background. Features of these spacious facilities include:- fitted kitchen; gas barbecue; electric oven; microwave; refrigerator; dining furniture; music system; original paintings; wide opening doors; hand-crafted, natural stone pillars and wooden pergola with climbing passiflora and grape vine to provide shade; hand-crafted natural stone mosaic floors and walls.

The village of Villanueva De La Concepción is a lovely, friendly, safe place where guests may enjoy the lively, festive traditions of a typically vibrant Andalucian village. Within short walking distances there are traditional bars, restaurants, supermarkets, shops and other facilities.
El Torcal National Park, with its unique natural limestone sculptures and various walking routes, lies above Villanueva and is 10 minutes away by car. Beyond El Torcal the beautiful historic town of Antequera with its many ancient churches, distinctive architecture and prehistoric caves is a 25 minute car journey from Villanueva. El Chorro Gorge, Cordoba, the White Towns, Seville, Granada and Gibraltar are day trips by car. Malaga and Malaga Airport are approximately 45 minutes by car and the drive to Costa Del Sol resorts takes about one hour.

You pay 20% of the rental as a non-refundable booking deposit and we acknowledge its receipt.The other 80% must be paid 8 weeks before arrival. Failure to pay will entitle us to treat your booking as cancelled.If you cancel less than 8 weeks before your arrival, the full amount of rental will be kept, unless we get another booking in your reserved period, in which case a refund will be made on a fair basis.With your final payment, or on arrival, we require a damage deposit of £250 returnable at the end of the rental period on condition that the property is left in good condition and anything lost or damaged during your stay has been paid for. You may send, or bring with you, 3 cheques suitably endorsed for less than £100 totalling £250, which will only be encashed, if there is damage which has not been paid for.Energy saving measures:we now charge guests for the amount of electricity consumed at the cost price of £0.14 per unit.
