This whole area, the Serrania of Ronda, is renowned for its outdoor activities: walking, rock climbing, cycling, paragliding, horse riding, fishing, canoeing, ballooning and wildlife watching. It's all waiting to be explored! Locally, as well as the dramatic scenery, you'll find pretty and quaint white-washed villages - such as Setenil, Zahara de la Sierra (with its stunning lake), Grazalema, Olvera, Montecorto and El Gastor. They all boast great eateries as well as small shops, petrol stations, banks etc they're lovely places which provide a reminder of Andalucia's history and traditional architecture. Ronda is far grander, with double-fronted mansions, formal landscaped parks, impressive and imposing churches and palaces, the oldest bullring in Spain (and definitely the most beautiful), the incredible Puente Nuevo bridge which spans a 100m drop into a deep gorge below, and spectacular views across the mountain-scape beyond.
