Casa Francisco offers a superb location, being within walking distance of local tapas bars, restaurants, chemist and supermarket. The tapas bars and restaurants offer good quality dining at very reasonable prices. The property not only overlooks the beautiful whitewashed town of Ardales and its castle ruins but also the many mountains with their rows of olive trees. The views of Ardales and its castle ruins from the property are particularly stunning at night. Ardales is located just 5 minutes drive to the Lakes. There are three large lakes offering clean clear water, excellent for swimming, pedal boating and fishing, as well as biking, walking, absailing etc There is a bus stop within walking distance with regular services into Malaga, Alora & local villages.
The beaches are around 40 minutes drive. There is a very wide choice of beaches from the popular tourist resorts of Benalmadena and Torremolinos to the up-market Marbella and Puerto Benús. Boat trips, Dolphin trips, water skiing, banana rides etc are available in most of these areas.
Also within easy reach are many family parks for enjoyable days out. There is the Wolf park in Antiquera, water parks, crocodile park, natural parks and many more. More information can be found in the booklet in the house.
A choice of airports include Malaga airport just 35 minutes drive, Granada and Sevilla which are futher in distance but can offer great value for money.
Car hire is recommended but not essential.
