Main Description

Casa dos Hermanos (House of the two Brothers) is a a traditional Andalucian Farmhouse, fully renovated but retaining many of the original features. Downstairs accommodation provides 1 double, & 2 twin bedrooms, lounge, house bathroom, fully fitted kitchen & dining room. There is a large private & secure courtyard area which can be used for sunbathing, safe childrens play & outside dining. Beyond the courtyard lies a private swimming pool (8m x 3m) surrounded by a fenced patio area with open hillside views. There is a further double bedroom on the second floor, which has a private stairway into the courtyard & can use the toilet & shower facilities located in the courtyard. The upstairs area provides basic but comfortable sleeping accommodation. We provide all bed linen & towels, but request that visitors bring their own swimming towels for use around the pool. There is garden furniture & sun loungers for the use of our guests & a BBQ which uses olive wood from our store to the front of the house.The farmhouse is set within it's own olive grove, but yet is within 5 minutes easy walking to the local village of Fuente del Conde which has a good restaurant & bar, as well as a local supermarket where most basic items can be obtained.

The Moorish town of Iznajar is just 6kms away, which has a castle & church dating back many centuries. This pretty town is set overlooking the large Lake of Andalucia, which is very picturesque & has its own sandy beach & beach bars. The location is ideal as a centre to visit the cultural centres of Cordoba, Seville & Granada, but with the coastal resorts of the Costa del Sol within 1 hour of easy driving, a change of scene can easily be enjoyed before returning to the peace & tranquility of Inland Andalucia. The main airports of Malaga & Granada are 55 kms away & there are various car rental firms that operate direct from the terminals & offer reasonable deals. We supply guests with driving directions for the nearest large supermarkets & a selection of good value restaurants that we have sampled for their convenience.

The area is on the borders of the Subetica National Parks, & the mountainous hillsides are studded with olive groves. Ther is plenty of scope for the guests who enjoy walking amidst beautiful scenery, & for the less energetic the views can be accessed by car on the many signposted tourist routes. Within short driving distances are golfcourses which are run on a pay & play basis, & to there is the Sierra Nevada mountain ranges nearby that host winter sporting facilities.

A stay at "Casa dos Hermanos" provides a relaxing insight into Spanish rural living, whilst being a central location to visit whatever favourite pastime you enjoy.

Low Season Price : £550
High Season Price : £550 per Week

We accept bookings from the 1st May - 31st October each year, but will consider specific requests outside these periods. A flat rate booking fee is charged throughout the season, & we ask for a £50 non refundable deposit on booking with the balance to be paid prior to occupation. We can normally be flexible on changeover days as we understand that you may benefit from cheaper midweek flights. We request also a security deposit of £100 with the final payment which will be refunded in full following a satisfactory inspection of the property on vacation. Payment can be made by cheque or direct bank transfer as preferred.
