Finca lo Martin is a stunning, beautifully restored 200 year old farm house which is packed full of character and although in many ways it feels like you are stepping back in time to the Spain of old, you also have the modern facilities which help give you a great holiday.
The farmhouse is beamed and stylish with charm and views in equal measure throughout its surroundings.
It lends itself to very large families or groups of friends, the layout of the house allows space and relaxation.
For many months in this lovely part of Spain the outdoors and indoors simply merge into one, windows left open , doors ajar and the eating is alfresco in style and the larger than normal swimming pool becomes the main attraction.
The flexibility of this farmhouse though also gives it a charming and cosy winter environment with log burner and beamed, vaulted ceilings allowing for the guest to feel snug and homely.
The incredible setting of this farmhouse in the Mountains of Malaga makes the experience of staying here tranquil with amazing views on all sides.It is a ramblers delight.
Ferry and Julie who are lucky enough to own this character filled farmhouse live next door in the sweet Grandma's cottage, they are as helpful or discreet as you require and their numerous dogs, cats, hens and pig all live in harmony and give a feeling that the farmhouse is justifying it's loving restoration and being a home for animals and guests alike.
If you like animals, want to really experience the real Spain with fresh eggs, salad and fruit available then this is the right place for you to find it.
There are not many large farmhouses available for rental and the ones that do exist often do not have the location or spaciousness of Finca lo Martin.

There are 5 bedrooms:4 of these are upstairs, all are colourful and practical. The 2 larger ones have en-suites, 1 of which has an lovely roll topped bath and the other a great shower. The other 2 upstairs bedrooms share a pretty shower room. One of them is again a double and the other has a sofa bed for 2 which can be exchanged for 2 single beds if desired. The added bonus is a great quaint double bedroom downstairs at the back of the Farmhouse which has a door opening onto the pool terrace, it has it's own toilet and is great for the guests that would prefer a little privacy in the large group environment. Ferry and Julie do though offer a very flexible approach to renting and there is also a sofa bed downstairs for another 2 guests and they can also add another one if needed which allows this great size farmhouse to sleep up to 14.
