Sleeps 8 (+ cot). 4 double bedroom villa with private pool and garden. All bedrooms, the living room, dining room and kitchen have air-conditioning. The villa is located on a private hillside and as such there is total privacy with nearest neighbour being approx. half a mile away on the opposite hillside. The villa overlooks the white washed village of Alora and its Moorish Castle and countryside. Alora is a 10 minute drive and has a number of restaurants and bars. Car hire is essential. 
 
The villa has an open/airy feel and stays cool in the summer. It has an open plan kitchen/dining room with 18 feet high ceilings. The living room has 13 feet high ceilings. The villa has air-conditioning units and electric window shutters in all rooms. The pool is 14m x 6m with a 3m x 3m children's pool. Roman steps lead to the main pool which is approx 0.9m - 1.8m deep. The pool is surrounded by ample sun terracing. Three large covered terraces provide shade throughout the day. There is a table on the main terrace which seats 8 and a table on the side terrace which seats 4. There are 4 sunbeds and pool towels are provided for all guests. The villa is reached by a half mile track which is mainly laid with concrete. Alora which is a 10 minute drive, has numerous restaurants and bars. There is also a medium sized supermarket. El Chorro, which can be seen from the villa, is approximately 12km. The National Park has a number of lakes and is ideal for walking and fishing.

All rooms have double built-in wardrobes, air-conditioning units and electric window shutters. 
 
There are en-suite shower rooms for bedrooms 1 and 2 with open shower, WC and basin. 
The family bathroom has a bath, a separate shower, WC and basin. 
All bathrooms are fully tiled. 
 
A modern kitchen with black granite worktops includes an electric oven, electric hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer. All windows have electric shutters. 
Also included are a toaster, electric kettle and sufficient indoor and outdoor crockery. 
 
The utility room has a matching black granite worktop includes a separate washing machine and tumble dryer, plus a built-in laundry basket. Iron and ironing board and airer are supplied with assorted cleaning products including those for the dishwasher. 
 
The living room has a 13 ft high ceiling with patio doors to the pool. There are 2 leather sofas, a leather reclining armchair and a large Italian marble coffee table. There is a 32 inch flat screen HDMI TV, DVD player. Satellite receiver. 60+ DVDs and a number of books are also at your disposal. 
 
The dining room has an 18ft high ceilings with 180 degree views across the pool and includes views of the Castle, valley and surrounding mountains. There are two high bricked arches between the open plan kitchen and dining areas. 
 
The villa is situated in 20 acres of olive and almonds groves. 
 
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service:  
 
Linen and bath / hand towels are changed weekly. Beach towels are also supplied for use around the pool. 
The villa will be cleaned on a weekly basis. The pool will also be serviced weekly.

The pool is not fenced and there are also fairly steep slopes down the sides of the hill either side of the villa. Young children will therefore need to be supervised at all times. There are no fences on the land which allows you to walk for miles - although with the steepness of the hills, you will need to be quite fit. There is a stone circle on top of one of our hills which was used for threshing wheat in the olden days. This is now a protected site. In the summer months you can often see the eagles hunting above the land. The City of Malaga and its surrounding beaches can be reached in approximately 35 minutes. The town of Ronda is approximately an hour’s drive. Both of these have famous bullrings which are opened for the public. Alora has good train links to Malaga, El Chorro, the Costa del Sol and Seville. A high speed train now runs between Malaga and Cordoba, Madrid and Barcelona.

Accessibility 
The villa has not been built with wheelchair access and is surrounded by gravel. Inside the villa everything is on a single level with a wide hall way between the kitchen, bedrooms and living room. The pool is accessed via roman steps. A car is essential as the villa is reached via the track which is very steep in a couple of places (although not as steep or narrow as many of the roads in Alora). 
 
Further details 
Occasionally a local farmer brings his herd of goats and a very tame wild boar upto the villa to eat the carrob beans which grow on the tree in the front garden. They do not speak any English but are really friendly and are happy for the children to stroke the goats and the pig - which likes it's tummy to be rubbed just like a dog!

Booking notes 25% non-refundable deposit is required on booking. 75% is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. Payments should be made by cheque or bank draft. A 10% discount will be applied to the second week and a 25% discount will be applied to all subsequent weeks. Christmas, New Year & Easter weeks are treated as high season
