La Bartola is well situated to visit any one of Andalucia's beautiful cities and beaches. The historic city of Granada was the last Islamic city to remain in Spain. Therefore it has a fantastic mix of Islamic and Moorish culture evident in its traditions, celebrations and architecture.
The Alhambra Palace is the gem of the city, built by the Moors in 890 and inhabited Christian takeover in 1492, it was the fortress complex of the last muslim rulers of Granada, and Spain itself.
At Easter you have the unmissable Semana Santa of Seville which arguably holds the most elaborate processions for Holy Week in Spain
Within the Granada region temperatures soar in the summer months and begin to cool off by November, Therefore in Granada you can literally be on the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada in the morning and enjoying the beaches of the
Costa Tropical in the afternoon, with both being within 1hr 30 minutes of the villa.
