Cortijo Balzaín is situated in the Sierra Nevada National & Natural Park, declared as Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, and just 8 km from the wonderful city of Granada.
Balzaín is a place full of charm, peace and tranquility, ideal for relaxing and enjoying nature. Their country cottages remind us of a small village in the countryside, surrounded by snow capped mountains, pine forests and rural roads that invite walking.
Its lands are covered with almond, walnut and poplar and surrounded by mountains and trails that penetrate to the heart of Sierra Nevada.
From its privileged position, can see splendid views of the city of Alhambra and the peaks of Sierra Nevada and from their vantage points you can see magnificent sunsets with the city of Granada to the background while you breathe the peace and quiet of the afternoon fall. By nightfall, the city lights and all the villages of the valley, spread like a blanket at the foot of Sierra Nevada, will invite you to stay in expectant silence.

The Cortijo and its cottages.
The origin of Balzaín goes back to the earlier XVII century. This old farmhouse was restored in 9 cottages, through a restoration that has retained its original structure, with stone walls and roofs of wood and cane, while maintaining all the flavor and authenticity of its rustic past.
The names of the houses evoke their ancient customs and reminds us the rural life of our ancestors: the stable, the corral, the barn, the shed.
These cottages set within a beautiful countryside, near a spring of water surrounded by rocks, walkways and poplar, with rustic and authentic atmosphere of an Andalusian cortijo.
Inside you will find a simple equipment, but with all comfort you demand today.
In its facilities will enjoy their Country Tavern with WIFI area, a salted water pool, a small farm, a children's play area, a sports court and an old farm museum with plows, threshing and farming tools.
