Set in the hills of Granada Province on the outskirts of Algarinejo. South facing, pool, garden and views.
Vacation Rental Description
This is a spacious 2 bedroom apartment designed with the comforts of home in mind and is licensed and approved by the Tourist Board. Within 5 mins walk of the small town you can have an evening out witout having to drive. The apartment has its own secure entrance onto a large south facing private terrace which leads off to the vanishing edge pool, 8mx4m, and a private garden. The garden is planted with olive trees, oleanders, roses, honeysuckle and typical Mediterranean shrubs/trees, pomegranate, fig, almonds and walnut. A gas barbecue is available for use in the garden. The apartment has a fully fitted kitchen with a separate sitting room, bathroom with walk in shower, a twin bedded room with sufficient space for a further foldup bed if required. The 2nd bedroom has a double bed. The large sunny outside private terrace also has a shaded area for those afternoon naps and for dining ‘al fresco‘. The terrace has a gate for the safety of young guests. A cot is available.
Towels for bathroom use are provided as is a Welcome Pack for 5+ nights: eggs from our free range chickens, cheese, butter, fruit, wine, bread and water. In addition further shopping can be purchased on your behalf if you are arriving during a fiesta or bank holiday (we will advise) when the shops are shut. Fresh bread can be delivered to you each morning if required.
Towels are changed daily and sheets changed every 3/4 days whilst the apartment is cleaned for you.
The terraces, pool and outside furniture are all cleaned daily.
The tap water is perfectly safe to drink and the purchase of bottled water is not necessary.
In springtime the olive clad hillsides are a riot of almond, peach, pomegranate and mimosa blossom and are as the Spanish say, 'muy bonito'. Situated approx. 1 hr from Granada Airport and 1.5 hrs from Malaga Airport and adjoining the Provinces of Cordoba and Malaga, Casa Mimosa is ideally placed for exploring inland and coastal Andalucia. Whether you are touring by car, cycling or walking the province of Granada has much to offer everyone.
At Casa Mimosa you can relax and enjoy the serenity of the Andalucian hillsides for a truly authentic Spanish holiday experience (without the town noise). At night enjoy a drink on the terrace beside your own lemon tree and flowering shrubs and watch the shooting stars in the night sky.
Facilities
The kitchen has a wood burning fireplace for the cooler months, dining facilities, fridge/freezer, microwave, 4-ring gas hob, electric oven and iron/ironing board. There is a full range of cooking utensils including electric toaster &coffee maker. The use of a washing machine is available at a small additional cost. A hairdryer is provided in the bathroom. TV is English with DVD'S available to loan. All windows are fitted with anti-mosquito/fly blinds. Because of its traditional build the apartment remains quite cool but floor fans are also provided.
Activities
Algarinejo has several supermarkets, numerous small shops, bars and restaurants. There is also a local weekly market.
There are a number of local fiestas where you can dance, watch flamenco and sample tapas until the early hours. Priego de Cordoba, Rute and Loja are the nearest large towns approx 30 minutes drive. Each has many visitor attractions and their own local markets.
Alhambra and Generalife - a 'must see'. Guided walks/bus tours into the heart of and around Granada City are available. The Science Park near to Granada provides a great day out for all ages and features lots of interactive activities, a butterfly house, birds of prey display, exhibitions and a planetarium.
For the more active, horse riding, quad biking, canoeing, abseiling/climbing and potholing are available just a 40 min drive away. The nearest golf course is in Granada. The Subbetica National Park is close by for walking and bird watching.

Bookings can be made at anytime. A deposit of 25% is required upon booking and the remainder 4 weeks prior to arrival. The deposit is non-refundable from 4 weeks prior to planned arrival date. Payment directly into British bank in sterling. Arrival day is flexible, departures should be by 12 midday but can be extended with prior arrangement. Min. stay 3 nights 140 - 165 for apartment.
