Vacation Rental Description
Wherever you are on this 70,000m2 estate you can feel the gentle breeze from the straits of Gibraltar, the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. Located only 12km from Tarifa's beaches and ideally positioned to take advantage of all the activities these two seas offer, this villa is an interesting building (designed by an English architect) and is perfectly equipped for rural tourism and enjoyment of the countryside. The capacity of the house is 6 people plus 2 people sleeping in additional bed, and there is an adjacent studios for 2 people with its own bathroom and kitchen. The African coast provides a wonderful backdrop and inside the villa is characterised by spacious interiors, good equipment and quality finish. We find a spacious living room with a fireplace, a living/dining room and an independent kitchen (well equipped, it has no washing machine but there is laundry service). There are three bedrooms with ensuite bathroom and another bedroom adjacent to the house which is at the same time a studios with bathroom and kitchen. Outdoors there is abundant vegetation (we are in the Natural Park). It shares the swimming pool with another house and with some cabins close to here.
The surroundings are part of Los Alcornocales Natural Park and of Parque del Estrecho.
We are surrounded here by a vast forest, where the cork oak is probably one of the most extensive and best preserved forest in the world; a subtropical forest (laurel, strawberry tree, sarsaparilla) unique in Europe.
Due to its location, it is also an important area of natural ornithological observation, where we can enjoy a unique show: in spring, when temperatures are softer in Europe, thousands of birds come back from Africa to reproduce.
Location: There is a café in the estate at weekends. 300m away from restaurants and grocer’s. 500m away from the chemist’s. A famous writer described the city as a “salty clearness”. Cádiz, which was known as Gades at the Roman period, is the oldest European city. Despite its peninsular character, it is the capital of a frontier land, which from the steep peaks of its mountains falls into the sea. Nature and man, in a perfect symbiosis, making up a diversified landscape full of beauty and charm: Spanish fir groves, cork oaks, pine groves, vineyards, as well as productive farming lands housing white villages of magnificent architecture and a rich varied gastronomy.
The Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean extend throughout a littoral of 260 km of sandy beaches, from the Guadalquivir mouth to the beaches bordering the province of Malaga. To the South, at the end of Tarifa the “Oceanian Sea” and the “Mare Nostrum” melt its waters together, fusing gently the shorelines of both continents.
