Vacation Rental Description
This holiday villa is only 12km from Tarifa, and is similar in style to the other villa that is on the same estate and shares the swimming pool (see Ref. CA-039). Each villa is however self contained and private. This villa is next to the pool which is planted with scented plants such as jasmin, honeysuckle as well as wisteria, cork trees, bay and other indigenous Mediterranean trees. There's an open air patio / terrace in front of the house with an area to sit and eat outdoors or to relax watching the surroundings after a tiring day on the beach.
The living/dining room is simply furnished and it has a fireplace for the cold winter days. Every bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, which makes it comfortable and private for guests.
The surroundings are part of Los Alcornocales Natural Park and of Parque del Estrecho. We are surrounded here by a vast forest, where the cork oak is probably one of the most extensive and best preserved forest in the world; a subtropical forest (laurel, strawberry tree, sarsaparrilla) unique in Europe. Due to its location, it is also an important area of natural ornithological observation, where we can enjoy a unique show: in spring, when temperatures are softer in Europe, thousands of birds come back from Africa to reproduce.
In Tarifa we can practice wind sports in the sea (windsurf and kite surf) and it is a centre of worldwide attraction for those who practice these sports (if you wish further information, we can contact a professional company devoted to this). We can also do other activities here such as riding a bike, horse riding, climbing, scuba diving (with a scuba diving school in Tarifa), diving, golf, paragliding or hiking routes along Los Alcornocales Natural Park.
Location: There is a café in the estate at weekends. 300m away from restaurants and grocer’s. 500m away from the chemist’s. Getares beach in Algeciras is 6km away, Tarifa 12km, Bolonia and its beaches 20km, Castellar 35minutes and Jimena 45min away. Nearest airport: Gibraltar (20min). Train and bus station 300m away. We can practice golf in San Roque (15km) and in Sotogrande (30min). Tennis court and riding school 8km away. Active tourism, hiking, climbing, whale observation. Specialised monitors for groups.

A famous writer described the city as a “salty clearness”. Cádiz, which was known as Gades at the Roman period, is the oldest European city. Despite its peninsular character, it is the capital of a frontier land, which from the steep peaks of its mountains falls into the sea. Nature and man, in a perfect symbiosis, making up a diversified landscape full of beauty and charm: Spanish fir groves, cork oaks, pine groves, vineyards, as well as productive farming lands housing white villages of magnificent architecture and a rich varied gastronomy.
The Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean extend throughout a littoral of 260 km of sandy beaches, from the Guadalquivir mouth to the beaches bordering the province of Malaga. To the South, at the end of Tarifa the “Oceanian Sea” and the “Mare Nostrum” melt its waters together, fusing gently the shorelines of both continents.
