Vacation Rental Description
LOCATION 
 
Casa Colina is a secluded villa within easy access to Almeria airport (1hr 15mins), San Javier airport (1hr 40mins), Alicante airport (2hrs), Granada airport (2hrs). 
 
The typically Spanish town of Albox is a 3 minute drive. 
 
A car is essential. 
 
Set in a rural location,It benefits from 360 degree views and total privacy allowing you to fully relax. 
 
 
THE VILLA 
 
The villa has two good sized bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. Both have ceiling fans. There are also two bed settees in the lounge. 
 
The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, toaster, washing machine etc. 
There is also an iron and ironing board. 
 
The lounge has two bed settees, dining room table and chairs and log burner if needed in the winter months. There is also a gas heater for extra warmth. Ceiling fans. It also has a dvd player, Sky TV which receives all english channels inc BBC and ITV. 
 
Outside there is an 8M x 4M pool which is regularly cleaned and a poolside shower. 
Sunbeds are also provided. 
 
FACILITIES 
 
The nearest main town is Albox (3 minute drive), with all facilities, banks, bars, chemists, restaurants including Chinese and Indian. There is also a thriving market on Tuesdays. 
 
There are also two supermarkets in Albox, providing for all your needs. 
 
Local restaurants include The Travellers (2 minutes in car and english food) and Lentisco in Taberno (5 minutes in car and typically Spanish). 
 
COAST 
 
The coastal resorts of Mojacar, Gurucha, Vera, San Juan, Villaricos and Agiles are all within easy reach.  
 
If you do not mind the drive, San Jose (back towards Almeria) is set in a national park and well worth a visit. 
 
Mojacar has a 7km beach which is never crowded, even in the peak summer months. It has an enormous variety of restaurants catering for all tastes, watersports inc scuba diving. Mojacar Pueblo is a whitewashed village set on a hillside with narrow streets, bars, tapas and shops. it also has incredible views. 
 
Garucha is a fishing port with lots of extremely good fish restaurants. 
It also has a very good sheltered beach. 
 
Vera and Puerto Rey also boast very good beaches and are also uncrowded. 
Vera also has a naturist beach ! 
 
San Juan De Los Terreros has an exceptionally good beach, bars etc. 
 
Agilas is a lovely town also with a good beach. 
 
Villaricos is a small ex fishing village and benefits from good small restaurants and bars. 
 
There are lakes at Baza, approx 1hr drive. There is a good restaurant and a thermal spa. 
 
GOLF 
 
If you play golf there are courses within easy reach. Desert Springs, Valle De Este, Mojacar and Cortijo Grande. 
 
There is also a course at Partaloa (close to the villa). 
 
SKING  
 
If you are here in the sking season, Sierra Nevada (Granada 2 hours) offers supberb sking from beginners upwards. Lessons and ski hire are available if needed. Sierra Nevada is above the tree line so you are normally sking in bright sunshine. There are also cheap hotels on the way up the mountain so an overnight stay is not expensive. You can actually ski in the morning and be on the beach in the afternoon !!  
 
Sierra Nevada is also a must in the summer. You can get the gondola and cable car to within an hours walk of the top of the mountain (the snow is still about in July !) and on a clear day (most of them are) you can see Africa. 
 
GENERAL 
 
Granada is a fantastic city to visit. There is a hop on hop off sightseeing bus that runs very frequently. 
There is also the Alhambra Palace to visit, but you need to book. you can do this online. 
 
This is an ideal destination for you to get away from it all. 
 
The tranquility, amazing sunsets, amazing night skies and pace of life make this an ideal destination for a very relaxing holiday.
