Vacation Rental Description
This traditionally-styled Mimosa Casita offers a high standard of accommodation with modern comforts and seclusion, set in spacious surroundings on the 8-acre ecological, private country estate of El Sueño (meaning 'the dream') within a protected National Park. Perfectly sited, it is located just 400m walk from our small village of El Soto & Dehesa Montenmedio and a few minutes by car from Vejer, miles of undeveloped beaches, as well as a wealth of activities including a day-trip to many cultural gems such as Seville, Ronda & Morocco. The finca is also included in Alistair Sawday´s Ethical Collection: 'Spain' & ´Green Europe´ for self-catering properties, as well as listed on the 'Responsible Travel' website. Perfect for one or two couples, smaller groups or families, Mimosa Casita is built in a traditional style with modern fittings and comfortable furnishings including complimentary WiFi throughout the property and the grounds. This deceptively spacious two bedroom Casita has a large open-plan fully fitted kitchen, dining and living area with a woodburning stove, freeview satellite TV (multi-lingual UK and European)& DVD, with ipod docking station & speakers.
One bedroom has kingsize bed with an en-suite shower room, suitable for disabled and wheelchair users, and the other has two singles (easily converted to a superking double) next to the family bathroom. Fully insulated, with thick stone walls, high wooden ceilings, woodburning stove, electric heaters & towels rails, it stays cool in summer and warm in winter and is enjoyed by guests year-round.
Two sets of wooden French doors lead outside onto the private raised stone patio with shaded pergola and wonderful views West to Vejer. A table & chairs, pair of hardwood sunbeds, wooden swingchair & traditional barbeque for al-fresco dining, complete the picture.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the spacious grounds - stroll down Citrus Walk or through the herb gardens, with plenty of secret corners to escape or explore. A swimming pool with a large patio, shaded pergola & cabana (with bathroom/changing room) for the Casitas is set into the gardens in the top half of the estate.
The Casita is cleaned weekly, with fresh cotton bedlinen & bathroom towels, while items for chilldren under five years of age such as travel cots, bed guards, high chairs and stair gates are offered with our compliments. There is also a utility room and a laundry service, as well as a fresh daily bread delivery. Additional housekeeping, cook and childminding are also available, giving you more time to relax.
Facilities
The estate contains three individual, private Casitas, the larger two of which suitable for both disabled and wheelchair users, as they are open-plan on one-level, leading straight out to the stone patios. This two bedroom Casita also has a specially designed en-suite bathroom with open shower area, and wheelchair-adapted wc and sink. Although this property is slightly raised, it has both a ramp and steps to the front door. The shared ecological 10m x 5m Casitas pool with shaded pergola, honesty bar and bath/changing room is set into the central gardens and is securely fenced for children, with wide shallow Roman steps into 0.8m depth of water. The properties can be booked individually or together for larger groups and families, who each want to retain their own space!
Activities
Some of the best beaches on the Costa de la Luz are just 10 minutes away by car - the long golden beaches of El Pamar & Canos de Meca up to Conil are particularly good for families in the summer and surfers in the winter.
Guests can enjoy a wide range of activities such as golf and horseriding provided by Montenmedio Country Club 400m walk away (which also hosts the annual Sunshine horseriding Tour) as well as others in the area. There is a wealth of choice for nature lovers too - from whale and dolphin watching to safaris exploring the wonderful National Parks such Donana and Los Alconocarles, or simply biking, birdwatching and enjoying the local flora and fauna walks.
Your days can be as active or as laid-back as you wish - sherry-tasting, a day-trip to Seville, Cadiz or even Morocco are firm favourites for those preferring the intellectual rather than the physical approach!

The balance of 65% is due 2 to 3 months before arrival (depending on season), along with a refundable security deposit.
