New apartment in secure complex overlooking the golf course (subsidised green fees);110 sq m in size plus 36 sq m terraces.Nearest town is Ayamonte at 2 km and nearest beach is also 2 km.Ayamonte is a traditional Spanish town teeming with shops,bars and restaurants;but do not expect "English breakfasts" !The fantastic beach is over 7km long and I,ve yet to see it busy.Within 30 mins drive there are numerous golf courses, all available at discounted fees.Nearest Airport is Faro at 45 mins or Seville at 70 mins,both served by budget airlines.The border with Portugal is only 10 mins away and you can either drive across or catch the ferry from Ayamonte.A car is recommended to take full advantage of the area;however there is a bus service at the nearest main road about 300 m away.
Ayamonte has all the shopping that you could need;there are several supermarkets and also a local meat and vegetable market.The majority of the restaurants are authentic Spanish serving paella,tapas etc,but there are also other cuisines available.Portugal is only 10 mins away and offers an alternative dining experience too.
There are numerous places to visit within an hours drive,both inland and along the coast in both east and western directions;you can also take trips up the Guadiana river.
To sum up,this is NOT the Costa Del Sol;but if you want the REAL Spain,but at the same time also want sun,sea and sand and maybe,just maybe a game of golf,then this could be just what you are looking for.

Apartment is ground floor providing easy access;it is easily suitable for wheelchair access.The 35m pool is facing the smaller of the 2 terraces;the larger covered terrace (30 sq m) overlooks the 8th fairway.There is TV with all the freeview channels available. There is a bus service to both Ayamonte in one direction,and to the beach and marina in the other:both are only 5 mins away. The complex has 4 tennis courts available free of charge;equipment is NOT provided. The nearest shops and supermarkets are about 1 mile away.
