Vacation Rental Description
The apartment is located in the exclusive Los Gavilanes complex on the peaceful island of Isla Canela. The island lies at the mouth of the River Guadiana which divides Spain from Portugal. Linked by a bridge to the mainland and the quaint border town of Ayamonte, Isla Canela is a modern purpose built resort with a golf course, a marina and a beautiful beach. 
The apartment has 2 bedrooms, 1 ensuite, a kitchen, lounge and large terrace with fantastic views. The master bedroom has a double bed, ensuite bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and bidet. there are also built in wardrobes and a juliet balcony. The second bedroom has two single beds, built in wardrobes and its own shower room with toilet and washbasin. Each bedroom has electric fans and radiators. 
The compact kitchen has an oven hob, microwave , fridge freezer and a full range of utensils and crockery. It also has a toaster and kettle. 
The lounge has 2 armchairs and a sofa bed which is suitable for 2 children or an adult. There is also a dining table and 6 chairs. For your entertainment there is satellite television and a DVD player with a range of DVD's and cd's. the lounge has air conditioning and an electric radiator. 
Leading from the lounge are double doors that take you to the large terrace. On the terrace are 2 sun loungers and a dining table and 4 chairs. There is also an electric griddle should you wish to cook and dine on the terrace. Adjoining the terrace is a small utility room with a washing machine and tumble drier. The terrace overlooks the complexes swimming pool which opens from mid May to late October. Around the pool are plenty of sun loungers and parasols. should you want a change of scenery then just across the road from Los Gavilanes is 7km of beautiful beach. At the rear of the property is a private car park with allocated parking space. The secure car park is accessed via remotely controlled electronic gates. 
The apartment has its own basement store with 2 bicycles, some lightweight chairs and some inflatables for the beach.

    • There is an excellent golf course on the island just a couple of minutes drive from the apartment. Attached to the golf course is a driving range and bowling green. 
    Across the road from the apartment is a beautiful beach with restaurants and bars. The Kanela extreme water sports club is situated about 100 mtrs down the beach. here you can learn to kitesurf, windsurf and sail or hire a pedalo or canoe. 
    You may just wish to cycle down the promenade to the marina which is located about 3 km away. At the marina you will find plenty of restaurants and the river there is a popular place to fish. 
    There are sports facilities down at the marina for tennis and football and there is also a children's playground. 
    If you wish to travel into Ayamonte then you can either drive the 4 kms or catch the bus from the bus stop in front of the apartment. Ayamonte is the perfect place to either shop or just relax with a beer and some tapas.

    On reservation of the apartment a 20% deposit is payable. The balance is due around 4 weeks prior to the rental date. The deposit is non refundable , if you cancel less than 4 weeks prior to the apartment rental date 50% of the cost of the booking will be retained. Minimum stay is 3 nights. You may pay by cheque or bank transfer.
