3 Bedroom Villa in Chiclana

La Brisa is our unique home when in Andalusia. A well detached villa of character located in the exclusive private pine wood of Pinar de Los Franceses yet within 7 miles of the blue flag beach of Barrosa, Conil & the 36 hole Ballesteros Sancti Petri Golf links. Lovely terraced gardens offer views into the surrounding pines & the rooftop solarium offers alternative secluded sun bathing & overlooks the newly mosacic tiled 6.5 x 4.0 meter private pool. There is enclosed walled & gated parking for several vehicles within the 1,100sq ms grounds & the landscaped garden with 3 terraces has its own small scented citrus grove of fruit trees, including bougainvillea, hibiscus and oleander. 'La Brisa' is completely refurbished to include the refitting of the kitchen & bathroom and re-decorations throughout. Furnishings are to a high standard and include leather furniture in the lounge and Satellite, Freeview including BBC& ITV channels & some movie & childrens channels. DVD player & a small collection of DVD's for use by guests. There is also a small library. 2 surf boards are available to hire. 
 
Costa de La Luz has some 3230+ hours of sunshine annually, and is aptly named the Coast of Light, with marvellous light quality which is often favoured by artists. Seville, the home of Flamenco is only one and a quarter hours from Chiclana via the A4. Jerez airport is some 30k. only from La Brisa, and the Villa is very conveniently situated within 2 kilometre of the N340 coastal road, and a 2 kilometre stroll into Chiclana centre if required. The district is a golfing mecca with 7 surrounding courses including the Seve Ballesteros designed 36 hole links at Novo Sancti Petri and St. Andrea Golf within 5 kilometers. Jerez is famous for its sherry bodegas and tours, and you can have lunch in Portugal, or take a day trip to Morocco from Tarifa by jetfoil. Tarifa is home to the European windsurfing championships, with kite surfing and body boarding popular along the entire uninterrupted length of this lovely sandy coastline stretching to Portugal, and boasting the finest beaches in Spain.

My wife and I spent an excellent week in the villa. The location is great for visiting the area (close to a road hub to Cadix, Jerez, beaches). Also a plus is the nearby Eroski supermarket. The garden around the villa is very pleasant with shade or sun - as you wish- at all times of day and we enjoyed swimming in the pool under the pine trees. As for the villa itself, it has all you could wish for, spacious rooms, all appliances, true to the website description. Good contact with the owner/carer. So every reason to be satisfied. La Barrosa Blue Flag beach has 8 kilometres of beautiful silver sand on which there is also horse riding, or take out a jet ski, or simply stroll to one of the superb fish restaurants. Excellent, fine sand beaches are close at Conil, El Palmar, Trafalgar and a marina at nearby Sancti Petri. There is plenty to interest the keen ecologist, with a mirador just 600 yards from the villa overlooking the inland Bay of Cadiz. There is whale and dolphin watching between Tarifa and Morocco from day boats, and within a day's drive is the spectacular Donana Nature Reserve, with a unique opportunity to see the last pairs of breeding black eagles and wild boar. For those wanting some retail therapy, spectacular Seville and duty-free Gibraltar cater for all tastes. There is a fresh produce market on each weekday in Chiclana, which itself has lots of shopping opportunities as does nearby Novo Sancti Petri. There is also plenty of night-life at nearby Barrosa, Cadiz, San Fernando and Jerez.

Seville boasts some of the finest architecture in Spain, including a magnificent gothic cathedral, the final resting place of Christopher Columbus. The magnificent Grand Palace at Plaza Espana is unforgettable and the city was host to the 1929 and 1992 Expos. Seville is the spiritual home of flamenco guitar, opera and the art of the matador, having one of the largest and grandest bull-rings in Spain, while the sensational 'Isla Magica' theme park caters for the young at heart. 'El Circuito de Velocidad' at Jerez offers a full programme of motor sport and sometimes hosts the F1 spanish Grand Prix. Jerez also hosts the famous Andalusian horse fair every May - a fantastic colourful two week pageant of equestian art and colourful fiesta. Sports entusiasts enjoy a PADI centre at Conil and a large family Waterpark. There are many stables close to La Brisa for hacks either through the pine woods, or along the lovely beaches.
