Vacation Rental Description
Our lovely villa is situated in the quiet and pleasant residential suburb of Rana Verde just outside the centre of the coastal town of Chiclana de la Frontera. Thoughtfully equipped, and furnished to a high standard, our Spanish home is comfortable and welcoming, perfect for your family holiday.
For your peace of mind, the house is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detection equipment as well as a fire blanket and extinguisher. The boiler is serviced by a Certified Gas Engineer.
High walls softened by pretty flowering climbers surround the property, ensuring privacy and security. Relax & unwind in our lovely garden, enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool which is professionally maintained to the highest standard, on weekly visits.
Note: The pool is not fenced, therefore clients should consider the suitability of this property for very young or non-swimming children.
A newly built BBQ adjoins the shaded dining patio, which is furnished with a large table and 6 chairs, or you may prefer to take your meals on the porch or inside the house - the choice is yours.
Within a few minutes walk there is a shop, bar, excellent restaurant and pharmacy (English spoken). Larger, well stocked supermarkets, plus more restaurants, bars and shops are a very short drive or moderate walk away.
We provide a welcome pack of food items to get your holiday off to a good start, contents appropriate to arrival time (please ask for details) Additional items can be supplied at extra cost if required.
As well as providing a selection of DVDs,CDs, books and games, we have compiled a book containing English operating instructions for all appliances, safety & other important information, as well as detailed directions to local amenities etc. There is also a supply of up to date brochures and local maps for your use.
Detailed driving directions from the airport will be sent to you before departure.
Our English Representative will be welcome you to the property, and be happy to help should you need her during your stay.
The perfect base from which to enjoy the many sporting and leisure activities on offer in the area, explore the stunning coastline and inland white villages, or to simply chill out and relax with the family.

However, to maintain economy of pricing, we do not include a mid-stay clean and linen change for two week bookings, although this can be arranged with our agent at extra cost if required.

Aqualand Water Park at San Fernando offers a great day out for the youngsters.
Jerez, famous for sherry production, flamenco & horses. Take a tour of the bodegas - Domecq, Terry, Williams & Humbert etc., some include displays of horsemanship and flamenco as well as a fascinating insight into sherry production. Visit the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art or the Yeguada de la Cartuja, where the beautiful Carthusian (PRE) horses have been bred since around the XV century.
Cadiz, Europe's oldest city, has narrow streets full of local charm, quiet gardens and attractive buildings, as well as beaches and a busy marina.
A boat trip along the Guadalquivir from Sanlucar takes you through the Donana National Park, home to many species of wildlife. 125 species of birds reside here, as well as reptiles, amphibians & is a rich variety of mammals, such as lynx and Egyptian mongoose.

Please contact the owner to enquire about the availability. Minimum age 25 for couples. Once a reservation has been made, you will be sent a booking form together with our terms and conditions. Non refundable deposit of 25% required at time of booking. Balance is due 8 weeks prior to departure by bank transfer/cheque. Damage/breakage deposit of £150 is required to be paid with final balance. This will be returned within 7 days of vacating property, subject to satisfactory inspection. Owners reserve the right to alter prices at any time. In low season midweek changeovers can be accommodated so that clients can take full advantage of best flight prices. My family stayed at Casa Melosa for two weeks in the summer of 2008 and returned in the summer of 2009. The villa is located a short drive from excellent beaches, Barossa and Sancti Petri to name just two. The accomodation is as described by Lesley and offers a very comfortable, home from home environment. The weather was fabulous on both occasions we stayed at the villa, and our family of 6 had a relaxing, stress free holiday. Casa Melosa definitely lived-up to the descriptions given. The villa was beautiful and extremely well-equipped and there was extensive information on what to do in the area, with recommendations on where to eat, shop and visit.
The owners were really helpful and even sent us some information in the post to help us plan our stay. The owner's representative was also really lovely. We had some problems with our car, and she went out of her way to ensure we were OK. The beach was only 5-10 minutes' drive and there was easy access to the motorway network for trips further afield. La Barrosa beach is sandy with lots of bars, restaurants and great sunsets. As we were not in the main season, it was fairly quiet in the week but more lively at the weekend. We visited Cadiz and interesting inland villages such as Arcos de la Frontera. We stumbled on a tuna festival in a town just along the coast from Chiclana, and we were privileged to see the Spanish at play. All ages mingled to eat, drink and dance, and most of the women wore flamenco dresses! Sarny, Surrey - Stayed June 2009

Owners Profile
I was introduced to Spain as a small girl in the 1950's, my parents took me to the Costa Brava, years before the first package tours arrived, and I fell in love.
After many happy holidays in Spain since that time, in 2004 Simon & I had the opportunity to buy our own little bit of sunshine and after a much deliberation we chose Chiclana de la Frontera, for its location, ease of access and the stunning unspoiled beaches and countryside, as well as the sherry wines and horses that the area is so famous for.
Until we are in a position to retire permanently to Chiclana, we decided to share our Spanish home with other families, offering holiday rentals during the summer months.
We pride ourselves on total honesty regarding the property information supplied, and on going the 'extra mile' to ensure our guests have a wonderful holiday. Please ask us anything at all you wish to know about the property and the area in general.
