Vacation Rental Description
This first floor apartment is 1.5km from the beautiful long sandy beach of La Barrosa and consists of a lounge/dining room, a fully fitted kitchen and a separated sleeping area with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom and toilet. At La Barrosa there is a wide choice of restaurants, bars, shops, a bank and cash machines. Additionally there are three supermarkets a 5 minute drive from the apartment. A few metres away is a commercial centre which includes cafés, bars, shops and a dvd rental. Across the road is a very well-maintained park with a children’s playground and interesting plants. The beautifully landscaped apartment grounds, within the secured development, contain 2 adult and 2 children’s supervised swimming pools, and there is off-street parking outside. The lounge has a large sofa as well as separate armchairs, a coffee table, wall units and a display cabinet. There is a DVD player as well as German Satellite Television and Spanish Digital Television, and a Radio/CD player. Alongside is a dining table and 4 chairs with a good selection of table linen. There is a well-equipped kitchen with a good number of plates, crockery and utensils. There is an oven, washing machine and fridge freezer, as well as a coffee machine, toaster, kettle and food mixer. The balcony has a table and chairs for al fresco dining and looks out onto the excellently landscaped grounds. There is also a small area with a clothes line for drying as well as an airer. There are fans in the bedrooms as well as in the lounge, and radiators can be provided during the winter. A cot and baby-chair can be provided for a small charge. Outside there are a lot of parking spaces on both sides of the road.
The pool season is 15 June - 15 September.
You are a 5 minute drive from La Barrosa beach which has superb quality sand and is one of many Blue Flag beaches in the area. Here there is a wide choice of restaurants, bars and shops, a bank as well as three good sized supermarkets a similar distance inland. Close by is Novo Sancti Petri which has two commercial centres containing many shops, cafes and restaurants and lots of parking areas. There are also two golf courses designed by Severiano Ballesteros as well as a driving range, plus tennis and horse riding facilities are available in the area.
For bird watching enthusiasts there is the beautiful salt marshes (Salines de Chiclana) at Sancti Petri where you can see many different species, including flamingos, from purpose built viewing stations and you can also take a ferry to the protected habitat of Donana National Park.
You can have a day trip to the beautiful cities of Cadiz, Jerez and Seville, visit Vejer and Arcos, or take a ferry across to Morrocco.
Facilities
Bedrooms: The main bedroom looks out over the communal gardens and has a double bed, 2 bedside cabinets, chest of drawers and a full size built-in wardrobe. The second bedroom has 2 single beds, bedside cabinet, chest of drawers and full size built-in wardrobe. Bathrooms: The bathroom has a bath with shower over, toilet, bidet and basin. A hair-dryer is provided. Kitchen: There is a well-equipped kitchen with a good number of plates, glasses, crockery and utensils. There is an oven, washing machine and fridge freezer, as well as a coffee machine, toaster, kettle and food mixer. There is a washing line on the balcony as well as an airer, iron and ironing board. Living Rooms: The lounge has a 3 seater sofa as well as separate armchairs, coffee table and wall units. There is a television, DVD player and German satellite and Spanish digital set top boxes. Alongside is the dining area which has a table and four chairs. Towels and linen are provided (not beach towels).
Activities
La Barrosa beach is 8km long and has an abundance of fine white sand and clear blue water, as well as an area of rock pools towards Sancti Petri where you can explore to find crabs and fish. The popular urbanised promenade area has cafes and restaurants as well as the more natural parts with sand dunes. The sea food is great and the area is very popular with the Spanish who travel down in the Summer from the cities to cool off.
La Barrosa is ideally situated to explore the region. There are many historic towns and villages in the area including Cadiz, Vejer de la Frontera, Medina Sidonia, Jerez, Seville and Arcos de la Frontera. You can take a boat to Donana National Park or a ferry across the Straits of Gibraltar to Tangiers and Morrocco. There are various blue flag beaches along this coastline and you can visit La Barrosa, Conil, El Palmar, Trafalgar and Tarifa.

Prices can also be paid in euros. Bookings that cross over two different rates will be charged pro-rata. Arrivals after 20.00 and on Sundays will incur a supplementary payment of 30 euros. Long winter lets and long term rentals are available so please contact us for details. Changeover day is flexible. Preferred arrival time is from 4pm with departures by 10am but we will try and accommodate any special requests. Confirmed bookings require a 20% deposit of the total rental amount paid by bank transfer within 5 working days. Final payment is due 6 weeks before arrival by bank transfer, or immediately if it is less than 6 weeks.
