Tijo Rosa is a 19th century Cortijo ( Farmhouse ) renovated in 2004 but retaining it's rustic charm. Set in it's own large garden with a private pool it has 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains & down the valley to the sea. Ideal for walkers, birdwatchers or those who just want a quiet & relaxing holiday. Skiing, water sports, horse riding, golf etc are all within easy reach. 
 
The owners are keen walkers & can recommend great walks in the area 
 
NB: Tijo Rosa is located 2.7 kms along an unsurfaced track & a four wheel drive is recommended but not essential. The 220 volt electrics are powered by solar panels & wind turbine & are unsuitable for high power appliances like hair dryers.

    • Tijo Rosa is a two bedroom Cortijo,1 double & 1 twin bedded, there is a large shower room with bidet a kitchen/diner with logburner a comfortable lounge with double doors leading to a small enclosed courtyard ( ideal for winter sun ) Outside the property has a large garden with private pool, BBQ terrace with table & chairs, 360 degree views of mountains & the valley leading to the sea. Due to it's location the Cortijo offers a high level of privacy. The owners live close by so are on hand should there be any problems or for local knowledge, we can advise on walks in the area & for those interested Thursday is Quiz night in the Lecrin Valley.

    • Although Tijo Rosa is located in the countryside it is only a 20 minute drive to Motril - a large town of 50,000 residents Motril also has a seaport & is a stop-off point for cruise liners, Motril has a full range of shops, a cinema, nightclubs etc. Beaches are from 25 minutes drive away & Granada is just over 1 hour. 
     
    During the winter it may be possible to ski in the morning & sunbathe on the beach in the afternoon. The Alhambra ( Spain's biggest tourist attraction ) is just over an hour away by car.
