Vacation Rental Description
The old city-center is one of the most attractive sightseeing-places of Almuñécar. The different stylistic periods - Arabic combined with the Mediterranean - reflect everywhere and blend in the streets, places and balconies with the marks of the Roman and Phoenician history. From the Phoenicians Almuñécar has been called "SEXI" and it is one of the first towns on the Iberian Peninsula which has been founded by them. 
 
The building "El Tranco del Mar" has been opened in the historical center in 2004 with a distance to the sea of only 80 meters. Because of ot's Mediterranean flair it became an enrichment of the hotel/apartment-offers in Almuñécar within very short time. 
 
The apartments have one bedroom, shower and living-room with balcony. 
 
They are equipped for 4 persons - kitchen with ceramic hob, washing-machine, microwave and fridge. Air-condition with individual possibility to adjust the heating, television. Hot water-installation by ecological solar. 
 
The building is equipped with an elevator for 6 persons. 
 
One of the apartments is completely suitable for invalids. 
 
Our visitors can take pets with them, but no big dogs. 
 
Apart from the remarkable suptropical climate Almuñécar offers a variety of different attractions - as well from the tourist point of view as in that which concerns culture - which gives the city a sophisticated position in the range of tourist-places. 
 
The sports harbour Marina del Este - one of the "crown jewels" at the coast from Granada - will fill everybody with enthusiasm who is interested in water sports. The possibilities of activities in and at the sea include the whole range of offers in order to attract those, who are effected by water-sports. 
 
Almuñécar is surrounded by mountains and at only 80 km distance one finds the fantastic skiing area of the SIERRA NEVADA. 
 
A 18-holes golf course can be reached near Motril by car within 15 minutes driving. 
 
Those who want to have alternatives to the sea and the sun can make huge walks by following the small tracks in the fascinating country-side, ride horses, see the country from above the paragliding or do other "extreme sports". 
 
In summary, on can say, that Almuñécar is a small paradise, situated in the south of Andalucía, which offers to it's visitors rest and repose as well as the most variable possibilities of enjoyment, pleasure and entertainment.
