Fuentes de Almunecar is situated a few minutes from the charming and authentically Spanish town of Almunecar. Situated on a hilltop with fantastic views and backed by rolling hills, the apartment offers a spectacular setting in landscaped gardens for a wonderfully relaxed holiday. The community is populated largely by Spanish and British residents with a smattering of a few other nationalities. A car is necessary to fully enjoy the property which is set slightly off the beaten track. The owners also have another apartment and a house within a two minute walk so in effect can cater for groups of from 2 to 20 people. 
 
Almunecar itself offers the best of both worlds, maintaining a distinct traditional Spanish feel whilst offering most modern conveniences. Take your time exploring the old streets or laze away evenings in one of its lovely restaurants. The town has a waterpark as well as beaches nearby. There are banks and modern supermarkets as well as other facilities readily available. 
 
The climate on the Costa Tropical is also very friendly without the extremes of some other parts of Spain. It enjoys around 320 sunny days a year with summer highs around 29C and the lows 22C. In winter the temperature ranges between 16C and 8C. The coastline is wonderful to explore offering many beaches nestled in a craggy coastline. 
 
It is a wonderful base from which to truly enjoy your holiday. Whether you want to stay relatively local and enjoy Almunecar and the local beaches, or whether you want to explore further afield and take a trip to Granada or Seville, or perhaps try some skiing in the winter months. The magnificent city of Granada with its spectacular Alhambra palace is only 60 minutes away by car, with high quality skiing in the nearby Sierra Nevada mountains from December to April. Skiing in the morning and the beach in the afternoon can be an option in the winter. Seville, another great destination, can be reached in 3 hours. 
 
The 2-bedroom apartment (one double, one twin) has a total indoor area of about 70 m2. There is one full bathroom and also a separate WC. One bedroom has a private terrace. The apartment has a light, open feel and benefits from high ceilings. 
 
There is also a very large 50 m2 rooftop terrace with wonderful views over the surrounding area. It benefits from a shaded area and so is comfortable even in midsummer. It is the perfect place to enjoy a meal or relax and sunbathe. The terrace also benefits from a dining table, chairs and sun beds. 

Bed linen and towels are provided for your use. The apartment has two bedrooms, a double and a twin with a total indoor area of around 70 m2. There is one full bathroom and an extra WC. One bedroom has a private terrace. The interior is roomy and the ceilings high, contributing to a light and open interior. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room. There is a large 50 m2 rooftop terrace with fantastic views. It is partially shaded and therefore comfortable even in midsummer. It is an ideal place to enjoy a relaxing meal or sunbathe. The terrace benefits from a dining table, chairs and sun beds.
