Polopos is a small Spanish hamlet in the Andalucian mountains. The village lies 10kms from the coast and the small and authentic fishing village of La Mamola which has safe sandy beaches for swimming and a selection of bars and restaurants. The much larger coastal town of Motril is approximately 30 minutes drive from the village, with the beautiful city of Granada being only 90 minutes away by car. The village is a 75 minute drive from Almeria airport,
90 minutes drive from the airport at Granada, whilst Malaga airport is about two hours away.
The village itself is very peaceful and surrounded by lovely countryside, there is a small bar which serves tapas but no shops, although the bread man comes to the village every day, along with deliveries of fresh fish and vegetables on selected days. A car is necessary as the village is not served by public transport and the surrounding area is best explored with a car. The Alpujarra valley which is dotted with tiny white villages and some of the most stunning scenery in Spain is only 20 minutes drive conitnuing up from the coast and over the mountain range known as the Sierra Contraviesa. Please note that the access to the property is up a steep street and therefore the house is not suitable for the elderly or infirm. There are two double bedrooms and one single bedroom with sleeping space for an additional two people on a double sofa bed in the lounge if required.

A non refundable deposit of €100.00 Euros is required upon confirmation of a booking with the remaining balance payable no later than 4 weeks prior to arrival. A returnable deposit of €100.00 Euros against any damage or breakages is also payable with the balance and will be returned within 7 days of your departure provided the property is left in good order.
