Approached by a private drive in a pituresque rural setting, our villa was built in 2004 and the gardens laid out the following spring. Casa Paternina stands in its own secluded plot and has space for several cars.The entrance has a covered veranda with table & 6 chairs. There is a roof top solarium, private swimming pool, with roman steps, adjacent covered barbecue, and plenty of terrace areas on a variety of levels.  
 
Inside, the spacious living room has a log burning stove, and a corner feature staircase with its own dining area.  
The large, well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and double doors open to the covered veranda, overlooking the swimming pool. Stairs lead to the first floor landing off which are separate doors to each bedroom, main bathroom and bathroom. 
 
Located about 45 minutes from Malaga airport, and 15 mins from Nerja, Casa Paternina is built in a pituresque hillside setting a few kilometres from Torrox. There are views towards the imposing peaks of the Sierra Almijara mountain range and Nature Park. It is a short distance off the main Competa road, on a country lane, and is only 4 kilometres from the 2000 year old whitewashed village of Torrox.  
 
Torrox has supermarkets, gift shops, banks, post office, hair salons and restaurants which serve excellent reasonably priced food under the orange trees in the beautiful central plaza.  
 
The beach at Torrox Costa is only a further 5 minutes away and the area provides many additional facilities. Nerja with its famous caves and beaches is only 15 minutes away. Baviera Golf Course is 10 minutes away, and the Sierra Nevada Ski resort is under 2 hours away.

At the back of the house, there is a romantic walk through pine trees to a sitting area where you can watch the sunsets.
