This new apartment is superbly located within Los Flamingos – the five star golf resort and home of the PGA European Senior Masters’ Matchplay Championship and 2006 LPGA championships. Enjoy a glass of wine or a sumptous dinner on the balcony overlooking the stunning golf course, lake and Mediterranean sea. This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom luxury apartment is furnished to the highest standards making it the ideal location for a family holiday, a break with friends or a romantic weekend away. Have a look at our Gallery for pictures of the apartment and it's surroundings. The large balcony is directly accessible from the sitting room and master bedroom and offers breathtaking views. We have a fully equipped kitchen including all luxury appliances and a utility area too. Both bedrooms have generous storage space. There are 3 swimming pools in the landscaped gardens. The complex is secured by 24 hour manned security within a gated development with underground parking. There is elevator access from the garage.
Three spacious and clean swimming pools for you to use at any time of the day for as long as you like plus an outdoor tennis court all with superb views over the hills amongst landscaped gardens. The pools are shared. The apartment has a balcony + outdoor table inc chairs (4), sun loungers (4).
The 18 championship course, par 3 9 hole course with extensive practice facilities makes this an ideal apartment for golfers from beginners to experienced players. The golf course even recently featured on Real Estate TV (SKY channel 273 & 274) on "A round with Pace" with Pace from the famous comedy duo Hale and Pace.
Some of the best golf in Spain - the Flamingos golf club next to the apartment has already attained well-deserved international renown for the high level of quality it offers. For three consecutive years it's been the venue for the European Senior Final and The Daily Telegraph European Seniors Match Play Championship. The club currently has one course, Flamingos Golf and will shortly be opening Villa Padierna Golf and Briján Golf and in the near future the Flamingo Norte. The resort's crowing glory is its prestigious 5-star Hotel Villa Padierna Operated by The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.
The local sandy beach is 5 minutes drive away and provides water sports, bars and cafes. A short 10 minute drive up the main road leads to Laguna Beach - an unspoilt beach and shopping area frequented by celebrities and local beautiful people. A great place to unwind and relax.
Pleasant 45 minutes drive from Malaga airport or 1 hour from Gibraltar. Major roads all the way with beautiful sea views on the left from Malaga or to the right if driving from Gibraltar. Flights start from just £35 return to Malaga airport from the UK (that's including all taxes and fees). I have found Easyjet, Thomsonfly.com, BMI Baby and Ryanair to offer the best prices. 3 hour flight time. Local buses and taxis also available if not driving. Car hire is recommended.
Airport 60km. Beach 1km. Golf 10m. Shops 300m. Los Flamingos is a quick 10 minute drive from the world famous Puerto Banús Marina where Europes rich, famous and beautiful come to hang out. Ronda is nestled amongst the Sierra Blanca mountains. The oldest Bullring in Spain is reached easily within 45 minutes.
For food and drink there is a very well stocked Mercadona supermarket on your right just as you enter the Los Flamingos development. They even stock Kingsmill bread, Heinz baked beans and everything else you’d ever need including fresh seafood, wine from only 1 euro per bottle up to top quality French brands, pizza, quality cereals and much more. The cash machine is located outside the main entrance of the supermarket. Using your debit card to obtain Euros usually works out cheaper than using cash currency conversion services.
Facilities
Master bedroom has a double bed, bedside table and lamp. This bedroom has superb sea views and is very spacious. There is access to the balcony. There is a double wardrobe with a chest of drawers and two mirrors, one full length. There is also a stunning luxury wall to wall marble en suite bathroom with bath and shower over and a separate walk in shower, double washbasin, bidet, mirror, lights and sockets for electric shavers. The second bedroom has two single beds which can be joined to make a single double. Tastefully decorated with two bedside lockers and lamps as well as a large chest of drawers, wardrobe with shelves, bedside tables with lamps. The second bedroom opens out to a separate balcony at the back of the apartment. There is access to the large family bathroom right outside. This bathroom has bath with shower attachment, wc, bidet, mirror & lights.
Activities
Having driven around much of the Marbella and Costa Del Sol areas, I have found The Los Flamingos area to be one of the most attractive and pleasant not to mention exceptionally well located developments on the coast. Golfers enjoy superb views of the Mediterranean, Africa and Gibraltar while experiencing all the unique demands the challenging golf course has to offer. The course is landscaped around a lake and bird sanctuary with a variety of fruit trees, cypresses and pines. Other facilities include an extensive practice area, putting greens and a short 9 hole course. The spectacular Ritz-Carlton 5-star hotel “Villa Padierna” offers two restaurants, a Golf academy, a golf shop with everything you'd ever need and the cosy “La Cantina” bar makes a great venue to relax after a few holes. The hotel also has a spa with indoor pool, sauna and eight therapeutic baths.
