Vacation Rental Description

This small private development is set in landscaped gardens, with a beautiful shared pool set in a lawn area, ideal for adults and youngsters alike. It also has two private roof terraces as well as a small garden. Air conditioning in the lounge and main bedroom. Large kitchen with fridge/freezer, washing machinge, microwave and oven/hob. Open plan lounge/diner with seating for six and dining room table and chairs, sat tv, music system and dvd. Patio doors lead on to bright sunny terrace and garden. Upstairs there are two double rooms with twin beds and two bathrooms one with bath/shower and the other with shower. Two further terraces with wonderful sea and mountain views as well as overlooking the lovely landscaped gardens and pool. Supermarket, some restaurants and bars are just 5 minutes walk away on the complex of Capistrano and the town of Nerja and beach are just 20 minutes walk. Buses run frequently into town or taxis are readily available for just around 5 euros.

Nerja is on the seashore some 50 kilometres from Málaga on the N340 coastal highway, and marks the eastern tip of Málaga's Costa del Sol. Once a sleepy fishing village, the town now has a population of over 12,000. Nerja boasts 16 kilometres of beaches with powdery sand and sparkling clear water. All major water sports are available here, including water skiing, scuba diving and sailing. Flanked by a dramatic mountain range, Sierra Almijara, to the east, the town has, fortunately, managed to avoid being blighted by the concrete high-rise scenario which has been the inevitable result of the tourist boom in some of the coastal resorts. The old quarter of the town is still virtually unchanged with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses with wrought iron terraces .

There are plenty of restaurants and cafes here to choose from, and the visitor can hire a horse-drawn carriage to explore the most romantic corner of the town. The town's monuments include the 17th century Church of El Salvador, in a style which is a charming mixture of baroque and Moorish, or mudéjar, and the beautiful Gardens of Capistrano Playa, which descend to Burriana Beach. However, Nerja's most spectacular attraction is undoubtedly its fascinating caves, located just three kilometres from the centre of town. They include archaeological treasures such as paintings over 20,000 years old and other pre-historic remains. One of the enormous natural caverns has been transformed into a concert hall, where many performances are staged during the summer.

Beautiful villa in superb location. We stayed here with a small child and had a lovely holiday at the end of February 04. The villa is well equipped, comfortable and restful and we would thoroughly recommend it. Mr and Mrs Coles.

September 29, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009 My partner and i had a lovley time here found villa easy and was very clean with plenty of equipment to hand and nice and quiet. The beach and town was ideal with plenty of restaurants and bars to relax We mostly walked to the beach or town aera then got a taxi back to the villa. We will be going back hopefully in 2010 with some friends. Recommended for: Age 55+, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
