Villa Pilar is a spacious and airy villa with huge lounge, and balconies offering views of the sea and mountains.

It has 7 double bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, 2 fully equipped kitchens, games room, heated pool with gas BBQ, various sun terraces and a double garage. Close to Fuengirola and the 'white village' of Mijas Pueblo, it stands on a hill overlooking the coast with views up to the mountains. It is situated in a well established, quiet residential area, within walking distance of local restaurants and shops, and only 3km from the beach and the bustling town of Fuengirola, to which there is a regular bus service. Free broadband internet access available.

The heated pool is surrounded by loungers and there are plenty of chairs, tables and parasols for alfresco dining. The pool is approx 10 x 4m (2.5m deep at the deep end, 1.5m at the shallow end) and has a hot and cold shower. There are two further terraces in the well established gardens shaded by orange, lemon, avocado, fig olive and palm trees, together with colourful and scented flowers and climbers (jasmine, bougainvillea, dame del noche etc). Additionally the 'Community pool' is nearby, if you want to meet other people / children, both holiday makers and locals.

All rooms have cool marble floors. All bedrooms have ceiling fans.

There is a large games room, a cool haven from the sun and is equipped with a ping pong table, a dart board (with plastic tipped darts) and a table football game for when you are feeling energetic and competitive.

Although wheelchair users have stayed here happily in the past, we must point out that the villa stands on four floors, and is not designed for wheelchair users.

Fuengirola beaches can be reached in 40 minutes by foot, but is only 5 minutes drive (3 kms). There is a regular bus service. These are safe family beaches with lifeguards, and EU Blue Flag rating. Some parts have loungers/parasols, others are free.
Fuengirola boasts a small zoo and there is a large water park between the villa and Fuengirola (Mijas - las Lagunas).

Golf: Mijas Golf (Los Olivos and Los Lagos) is about 5 minutes drive from the villa. There are many other golf courses nearby (eg La Cala, Alheurin, etc).

Travel Info: Malaga airport is 27 kms, approx 20 minutes drive. Taxis can be taken to the villa (approx €30), and a train service goes regularly from the airport to Fuengirola, from where taxis are readily available for the 5 minute ride to the villa. Car hire is recommended but is not essential. Conveniently located within strolling distance of several restaurants and local supermarket, this superb villa is just a short drive or thirty minute walk from the beach and the attractions of Fuengirola. There is also a regular bus service to the centre of Fuengirola (every 20 minutes, takes 10 minutes). Mijas pueblo ('white village'), 3 kms. Fuengirola beach and town, 3 kms. Malaga (interesting city, alcazar), 35 kms. Granada (Alhambra), 160 kms. Seville (Alcazar), 250 kms. Ronda (Gorge & bullring), 90 kms. Gibraltar (Fortifications and caves), 110 kms. Nerja (Caves), 90 kms.

Villa Pilar is located in Campo Mijas, a well-established estate on a hill overlooking the coast towards Fuengirola, and the mountains towards Mijas. It is 3 kms from the coast, and about 5 kms from Mijas town centre ("Mijas Pueblo").

It is conveniently located, in strolling distance of four restaurants, bars, small supermarket and newsagents. The beach can be reached by foot, though you would probably prefer to drive, or take the local bus - every 20 minutes, or so.

Rental Details in British Pounds. Payment can be accepted in £ or €. 10% discount on the second week booked. Changeover is flexible, but checkout by 10am normally. We recognise that weekend flights are more expensive, and most people prefer a Tuesday changover. 25% deposit to secure booking, balance payable 6 weeks prior to holiday. £300 refundable Security Deposit required. Payment by cheque, bank transfer, or Paypal (latter incurs a 3% additional charge to cover Paypal's fees)
