Vacation Rental Description
Very comfortable, air-conditioned accommodation with secure underground parking, and set in well-maintained, landscaped gardens. Steps from the terrace lead to the private garden, from where there is access to the communal gardens and pool.

The accommodation provides 2 bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom, separate shower room, lounge with dining area, and a fully fitted kitchen with utility area.

The fully-equipped kitchen has a microwave, oven/hob, extractor, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and all utensils and crockery.

The lounge/dining room opens onto the large sun terrace through sliding doors, and provides 2 leather sofas, coffee table, television with free to view channels, CD and DVD player, and dining table and chairs for 4.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed, which can be split to make 2 singles, and large fitted wardrobes fitted with drawers, and sliding doors. The en-suite bathroom has bath with shower, wash-hand basin, wc, and bidet.

Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds, bedside table, and also has fitted wardrobes, with drawer space.

The separate shower room also has a wash-hand basin and wc.

All linen and towels supplied, including beach towels. There is a store-room in the basement garage where we have children's beach toys, including buckets and spades.

The south-west facing terrace ensures an all-day sunny aspect overlooking the tennis court and La Noria golf course - perfect for topping up that tan, al fresco dining, or an aperitif before strolling into the village for dinner. There are steps to the private garden, which has access to the complex gardens and the pool area.

Originally a fishing village, La Cala de Mijas, is now a charming residential area with a palm-lined main street, a variety of shops, bars, and restaurants, and boasts an EU blue flag beach. There are 2 supermarkets (Supersol and Mercadona), and a number of banks with ATM facilities.

  • The terrace has 2 sun loungers, a dining table and 4 chairs, and a sofa with 2 armchairs and a coffee table. This allows guests to spend their time outside in comfort. The aim is to have the garden completed early in 2011, giving guests additional space

  • The property is conveniently located close to a number of golf courses, and overlooks the 9-hole La Noria golf resort course.

    A short walk brings guests to the lively villagae of La Cala where there are 2 supermarkets, cash points, bars and restaurants, and of course the blue flag beach.

    • Nearest Airport : Malaga International at 35 kilometers distance;
    • Nearest Train Station : Fuengirola at 10 kilometers distance
    • Nearest Town : La Cala at 1 kilometers distance
    • Travel Info: The nearest airport is Malaga, at around 25 minutes drive, and both easyjet and Ryanair have numerous flights from the UK throughout the year. Car hire is plentiful at Malaga aorport, but we would recommend booking in advance during the peak summer period (competitive quotes can be obtained from www.economycarhire.com and www.doyouspain.com). The nearest alternative airport is Gibraltar, about 1 hour's drive, and is serviced by easyjet, British Airways, and BMIbaby.

    Hi Vic,
    We had a wonderful home from home holiday at your lovely apartment.
    Absolutely no complaints at all just wish we had stayed to watch the World Cup final on Sunday!!!!!
    Simply loved the Restaurants that you recommended especially El Cortijillo and had wonderful Rosada Fritta at the 'chiringuita'.Enjoyed the craic at Biddy's and of course the market on Saturday and Wednesday for a wee browse.
    Really can't fault the apartment at all - Graham was on hand as we arrived and thanks for the wee pleasures of beach towels and the lovely cane furniture to watch the sun go down.
    Spent most days at the beach and loved a dip in the pool on return.
    We used the phone number you supplied in the book for return Taxi to the airport cost 42 euros good value compared to 7 euro from Mercadona (bit of a rip off) .
    Thanks for everything and we filled in all we could in your book at the apartment for the next visitors.
    The pleasure was all ours!!!

    While our kids were growing up, we rented apartments and gites in many parts of France, Spain and Italy, and had varying experiences, from lovely welcoming properties to places where you just couldn't wait to leave. So when we purchased our own holiday apartment, and decided to rent it out, we tried to anticipate as many problems as we could, and try to eliminate them.

    Our aim is to ensure our guests feel at home from the moment they enter the apartment, and that they can relax and actually enjoy their holiday. Sure, there will be things that don't match some people's aspirations, so we are more than happy to listen to constructive comments. We'll action any concerns that we feel will enhance guest experience.

    But what of La Cala, I hear you ask! Well, it's handily situated between Fuengirola and Marbella (just 25 minutes from Malaga airport), with plenty of character but without the crowds and noise. Excellent beach with an EU blue flag rating, good restaurants (our favourites are El Fogon and El Cortijillo), and these can be reached on foot by a flat 10 minute walk. The town also has 2 supermarkets (SuperSol and Mercadona), 3 banks with atm facilities, many other restaurants, coffee shops and internet cafes.

    The Costa del Sol is justifiable famous for it's golf courses, and La Cal has many in close proximity - La Cala (54 holes), Mijas (36 holes), El Chaparral, Calanova, Santana, and Miraflores are all within 10 minutes drive. For the non-golfers, what about a trip to Ronda, Gibraltar, Granada or Nerja. Whatever your thing, La Cala is a superb base for exploring souther Andalucia.
