Vacation Rental Description
The apartment is on the 3rd (top) floor accessed via an elevator or stairs.
The block faces directly south, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea towards N Africa and is
barely 30 meters from the beach. Set in beautifully manicured gardens with palm trees and flower beds, the Rocas complex has 2 swimming pools + a baby pool, tennis court, garden bar/restaurant and secure car parks with sensor lights and CCTV cameras.
From a family view, there is no road to cross to get to the beach-you're already there!
The apartment has 2 bedrooms (one with a double bed, the other with twin singles) a bathroom with shower attachment in the bath, a WC and a wash hand basin. There is also a sliding window.
Next door is a small cloakroom with a WC and a wash hand basin.
The kithen is equipped with a tall Fridge/Freezer, electric oven, hob and extractor fan. There is a microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee machine + an automatic front-loading washing machine.
The lounge/dining room is equipped with communal satellite TV, sound system and DVD player.
In March 2009 the complete apartment floor was re-tiled and the south-facing glass-enclosed terrace has been incorperated into the lounge.
Whilst relaxing on the sofa, the views to the south are of the tops of palm trees and the sea-similar to the views from a cruise liner.

    • A car is not necessary as there are so many amenities within a few minutes walk of the complex. There is a bus stop just outside, that will take you to La Cala & fuengirola, then across the main road is another that goes in the direction of Cabopino & Marbella. For those with a car, there is a secure car park, accessed via a coded gateway and fitted with security lighting. There's a bar/restaurant on site for drinks, snacks or meals. At least once a week the bar has a grand communal Bar-B-Q night with live music which all takes place barely 15 meters from the beach! Whilst at the bar/restaurant you can witness some of the most beautiful sunsets on the coast. Within a 150 meters of the complex are 2 supermarkets - one in a modern shopping mall and the other open 24 hrs. Also, on the same side as the complex, is a great 'eat all you can' Buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is surrounded by international restaurants.

    • There are more than a dozen quality golf courses very close, or within a short drive from, the complex.
    The now famouse Mijas Hipodromo (horse racing arena)is between Rocas del Mar and Fuengirola-8 Kms away, and the races begin at 10.30 at night in the July/August months, due to the heat of the day - night racing is more comfortable form everyone's view.
    There is a great water park and Zoo in Fuengirola, along with 6 Kms of broad, clean, sandy beaches broken only by the pretty Marina with it's abundance of cafe bars and restaurants.
    Just a few Kms to the west is the famous 'Puerto Cabopino' - the port and massive beach where
    many scenes from the BBC TV series 'El Dorado' were filmed.
