A rustic 'finca' style villa with a large infinity edged, private pool in a rural and tranquil location in the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park but within easy driving distance of Marbella and Puerto Banus.

Set in its own grounds of nearly 2 acres with numerous olive, almond, fig and citrus trees, the property has 3 double bedrooms and a self contained double bedroom cottage overlooking the large pool. The kitchen is modern and forms part of the finca kitchen/dining room, and there is a seperate comfortable sitting room. The property enjoys west facing rural lake views with covered and open terraces and a large barbecue terrace. The back garden was designed and installed by BBC's Groundforce team and was shown on the show's last ever broadcast. We have upgraded the pergola immediately adjoining the garden and constructed a gas BBQ and servery. A great place to enjoy partial shade and magnificent views up the valley to the mountains of the Sierra de las Nieves.

Peaceful and tranquil, the finca is ideal for a relaxing break close to some of the best amenities on the Costa del Sol including numerous golf courses, which are within easy reach. The unspoilt white village of Istan is a short drive away where there are stores for provisions, and restaurants serving Spanish fare using local produce. The reservoir is great for fishing and kayaking and there is a kayak for use. There are many grades of walks in the surrounding countryside.

The cosmopolitan town of Marbella with it's excellent amenities is only a short drive (12kms) away offering some of the best shopping in Southern Spain. It's world famous Plaza de Naranjos (Orange Square)is a must for the range of excellent restaurants with many more nearby in the cobbled streets and alleyways surrounding the square, along with a selection of shops offering ethnic goods alongside haut couture.

It is said that if you dined out every lunchtime and evening for a year you would still not visit all of the restaurants in Marbella. The nearby beautiful and vibrant marina of Puerto Banus has an excellent range of top quality restaurants offering international and local cuisine.

Golf Courses:
The villa is central on the Costa del Sol, which is also known (deservedly) as the Costa del Golf. There are numerous top quality Golf Courses within easy reach of the property including, Los Naranjos GC , Las Brisas GC, Aloha GC, La Quinta Golf & Country Club, Monte Mayor Golf Resort, La Dame de Noche (Floodlit), Finca Cortesin, Marbella Golf & Country Club, Rio Real GC, Guadalmina GC, Atalaya GC, El Paraiso and Los Flamingos to name but a few!! Slightly further afield is La Cala Golf and Alhuarin Golf and the world famous Valderamma is only about 55kms distant at Sotogrande as is the fabulous new La Reserva course as well as the old and new courses at San Roque.

Coast & Beach:
The coast is only 10kms away and offers a range of family friendly beaches, luxury beaches (Nikki Beach), disco beaches (Puerto Banus), and even a naturist beach at Cabopino. All offer beach bars and/or restaurants. A range of water sports are also available from the beaches as well as the large number of marinas and ports in the area including Puerto Banus, Marbella, Cabapino, and Estepona.

Activities:
Eventhough the villa is close to Marbella & Puerto Banus it's rural position in the surrounding country area offers easy access to a range of diverse amenities and facilities. It is on the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park (declared a UNESCO Biosphere) and offers easy and challenging walks as well as horse riding and guided jeep and quad bike tours and safaris. The countryside offers an incredible range of spring flowers, fauna and wildlife including the Ibex, wild boars and Golden Eagles. We have private access to the reservoir which offers swimming, kayaking and good carp fishing.

In addition to Golf there are plenty of activities locally for all of the family - something to suit everyone.

Carp Fishing in the lake is very good and we understand that Black Bass are also catchable, but haven’t seen any ourselves yet.

Horse Riding and trekking is available at Istan. Great mountain rides are to be had, including down to the Rio Verde, the river flowing into the lake.

Walking in the countryside and mountains is a delight with plenty of spring flowers, fauna and wildlife in the surrounding countryside.

Exploring by car is great fun out the back of Istan. There is not a made road but the track is very good and(eventually) takes you to Monda or Tolox. Keep your eyes out for wild boar or the Ibex, both of which live in the hills.

If you are slightly less energetic but still love the countryside you’ll be pleased to learn that Jeep and Quad Bike safaris are available in the Natural Park and Biosphere.

The property offers both covered and open terraces for all season pleasure including the Barbeque terrace. Air conditioning is fitted in the master bedroom and sitting room for cooling or heating as required. If the gentle mountain breezes should not be sufficient there a several fans throughout the house for additional cooling, if needed. The house is warm during winter months but there is a working Andalucian fireplace and logs are avaiable locally. Oil filled radiators are also available for good background heat.

We will be pleased to provisionally hold the property, on application, for a short period pending the return of Rental Contract and non-refundable Reservation Deposit.

The Reservation Deposit is 25% of the total holiday cost.

The balance of the rental is due to be paid 6 weeks before the commencement of the holiday, plus a security deposit of £250.

The security deposit will be refunded, less the the cost of damages, if any, within fourteen days of the finish of the holiday.
