A wide variety of amenities and activities are available in the surrounding area. Golf (2 courses within 15 minutes drive) sailing, go-carting, fishing, Aqua park, cinemas, horse riding, trekking, shopping centres and street markets.

Local buses travel along the coast. Westwards towards Rincon de la Victora and Malaga and eastwards towards Torre del Mar, Torrox and Nerja. Granada and the Sierra Navada are an hour and a half away.
