Vacation Rental Description
Ideal for golfers as the urbanisation is next to the new Alcaidesa Golf Clubhouse from which runs the only links course on the Costa del Sol and a second heathland course. There is a panoramic view from the wraparound terrace, with it's own jacuzzi, over the golf course to mountains, sea and along the coast to Marbella The spotlessly clean apartment is suitable for disabled people and is in a great location for family holidays as it is close to a Blue Flag Beach and has 2 swimming pools on site.
Alcaidesa is in the Western Costa del Sol in the province of Cadiz. It is very quiet and more suitable for a relaxing holiday in the sun rather than nightlife. Marbella and Puerto Banus are about 40 minutes drive away. There are many other places of interest to visit. It is close to Tarifa, famous for windsurfing, and from where ferries can be taken to Africa. Algeciras is also close, with a larger port and several new shopping malls.Gibraltar is 15 minutes away and there is a tourist train to Ronda from San Roque station, 2 miles from Alcaidesa.
The apartment has a 70+ square metre terrace, is spacious, light and airy with stunning views from the 4 windows in the lounge/diner, 2 bedrooms, 1 en suite bathroom, 1 shower room,marble floors throughout, fully fitted kitchen with Siemens appliances and a utility room with washing machine and tumble drier. It has airconditioning/ heating throughout. There are 2 car parking spaces in the secure garage with lifts to all floors.
The lounge/diner opens onto the terrace from 2 patio doors, has satellite TV, a 3-seater leather sofa bed and a matching 2-seater sofa, a coffee table, Nathan units and a matching Nathan extending dining table with 6 chairs. There is also a DVD player.
The main bedroom has a superking bed which can also convert to 2 single beds,fitted wardrobes, bedside tables etc and a safe,a lovely fully marble tiled ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi bath and overhead shower, twin basins, a bidet and toilet. The bedroom window overlooks the 1st tee of the Links Course and has electric window shutters for privacy. There is a hairdryer in this bedroom
The 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds, bedside tables and fitted wardrobes. It too overlooks the 1st tee of the Course and has electric window shutters.
The family fully marble tiled shower room has a jetspa shower, a single basin and toilet. Towels are supplied in both bathrooms and beach towels are also provided.
The kitchen is fully fitted with non slip floors, a view to the 1st tee of the Links Course, fridge/freezer, electric hob and oven, a George Foreman grill, plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans and many other items not usually found in holiday apartments. There is also a utility room with washing machine and tumble drier, iron, etc.
The large terrace is the only wraparound one on this site giving amazing views over the 18th fairway of the Links Course to the sea, to Sotogrande along the coast as far as Marbella, toward mountains and the famous Andalucian White Villages and to the Club House. There is a private jacuzzi on the terrace, 4 sun loungers, a large table and 6 chairs.
Facilities
There is a very private jacuzzi on the terrace with a wrought iron fence for safety. The view from the jacuzzi is to the sea. There are sunbeds and sunshades round both pools for your comfort. Smoking is allowed on the terrace but not in the apartment itself.
Activities
There is a small commercial area in Alcaidesa, a large Carrefour in nearby La Linea and several other supermarkets in Guadiaro and Sotogrande Commercial Centre.The Golf Club has a restaurant and there are a few other restaurants in the village. The beach has watersports in the summer. There is a casino at San Roque about 1 mile away.
There are many golf courses nearby including Valderrama, San Roque, Sotogrande, Finca Cortesin to name but a few.
Discount golf is available at Alcaidesa Golf Club.
Alcaidesa is an urbanisation of San Roque bordered by a 5 mile long Southfacing unspoilt beach ending at Gibraltar. A car is recommended
The Santa Maria Polo fields and the lovely Sotogrande marina are 10 minutes drive from the apartment.
British Pounds can be used in Gibraltar, 5 miles away, where there is a Morrisons Supermarket.Petrol is a lot cheaper there than Spain or the UK. Spirits, cigarettes and luxury goods are duty free.
