Las Tortugas is a spacious and imposing country house of character, recently completely renovated. It sits in a walled garden of 2500sq metres, with a 12 metre Pebbletec swimming pool and many metres of covered and uncovered terrace.
There are four large bedrooms, two sitting rooms, dining room, four bathrooms (3 ensuite), guest cloakroom, two kitchens,large covered terrace with a dining table and chairs for ten as well as sofas and easy chairs.
The accommodation is arranged on two levels with two bedrooms, sitting room, and fully fitted kitchen on each floor and a separate large dining room downstairs. The layout makes it ideal for occupation by two families or two or three generations.
Las Tortugas is close enough to the beaches to pop down for a day or a meal (10 minutes). That is if you can tear yourself away from the seductive peace: the most noise you will hear is the bells round the necks of the sheep and goats as the shepherd brings them round to graze within reach of the gates: a wonderful, almost biblical sight. There are great all-round views, particularly towards the Sierra Cabrera and Mojácar Pueblo to the south and the sea to the east at Garrucha. There is satellite tv with two different digiboxes in the sitting rooms, meaning no rows about what to watch, but who needs tv when they can sit on the underwater bench with a cold glass of something and watch our marvelous sunsets? The house is set in a 2500m2 walled and gated garden, with covered parking for 2 cars and further parking for several more. The most used area is the spacious covered terrace beside the pool, with table and chairs for up to 10 diners and plenty of comfy seating for escaping the heat of the day.
The house is completely private, only two other houses being visible in the locality, and the nearest being more than 200 metres away. It enjoys all-round views, particularly to the Sierra Cabrera and Mojácar Pueblo to the south and the sea at Garrucha to the east.
The popular, if rather challenging, Valle del Este Golf Course is just two minutes' drive away, with two restaurants, three bars and a comercial centre with a small supermarket.
The nearest beach is 7kms at Garrucha, with the beaches of Mojácar and Vera Playa a little further in each direction.
Outside of peak holiday periods each floor can be rented separately as a two bedroom apartment sleeping up to 4, and sometimes can be booked on a B&B basis. WHEN APARTMENTS ARE BOOKED SEPARATELY NO CHILDREN UNDER 18 ARE ALLOWED -in the interest of peace and quiet for all. Ask us for apartment prices.

Prices are for occupation by up to 8 people. An extra two people can be accommodated on sofa-bed in upstairs sitting room for and extra €60 per person per week.
Non-refundable reservation deposit of 25% to secure booking.
Balance payable six weeks in advance of holiday.
In the event of cancellation after payment of balance any refund will depend on whether property is re-let.
Payment by bank transfer. Sterling payments can be arranged.
Security deposit of €500 payable in cash on arrival before delivery of keys.
Discount of €50 per week for stays of two weeks or more between 1 June and 3 September.
