Lovely one bed apartment, complex with 2 pools, close to beach, private terraces/garden, typical old village.
Vacation Rental Description
Lovely one bedroomed well equipped apartment on a new complex with an adults pool and a childs pool.. It is set in nice private gardens, secure and gated. The apartment itself has a bedroom with rear private patio and also a private patio and garden at the front of the living room, both with patio doors at the front and rear of the property.The aprtment is situated in a vilage, typically the "real" Spain, of Palomares, with restaurants and bars (incl English Sports bar) in close proximity. A short walk is the beaches (unspoilt) of Palomares with pine woods behind and it is poosible to walk along the coastline path to Villaricos (next village) with its ownb bars and restaurants. In the other direction is Vera Playa beach which adjoins the beach at Palomares and again it is possible to walk to Vera Playa and beyond (Garrucha and Mojacar). There are many restaurants, shops, supermarkets in the surronding villages. Villaricos has its own harbour and there is a market selling crafts and fresh produce every day of the week in a neighbouring illage. (A car is recommended). The airport is 50k away but an easy drive being all on the E7 (new) Mediterraneo motorway.
Mojacar is 7k away, with its playa and pueblo (old town), uniquely up on a hill, with roads only built for donkeys and still cobbled. Further down the coastline in both directions are lovely scenery and villages, with the Cabo de Gato National Park. Up in the hills inland there are also many interesting villages where it is possible to buy local crafts/potteries/rugs etc.
There are many sports to take part in, tennis, golf both nearby, with 3 excellent golf courses within 5 - 10 minutes drive (Desert Springs among others). There are Padi dive centres, cycling, walking, fishing, (sea and shore), and other usual watersports.
Facilities
There is air con in the apartment, heating and cooling, also English Sky TV and also Spanish tv programmes (all the usual channels. There is a dvd player and cd player. Microwave, toaster, kettle. there is tv also in the bedroom as well as the living room. There is patio furniture, table/chairs and sunloungers for in the garden or by the pools. The complex is quiet and private. There is a nearby waterpark open in the summer (1K).
