Vacation Rental Description

The villa is only 15 minutes walk or a few minutes drive from the beach, the marina and everything in the resort. The exceptionally large terrace has a dining area with a magnificent panoramic view of the resort. The villa is in the superbly designed urbanization of La Ladera Del Golf with generous parking and service roads. It is fully fitted and beautifully furnished for the owners use throughout with full air conditioning in the bedrooms and living room. Below you the whole of the resort is laid out with the green of the golf course and the cream and terracotta low-rise buildings surrounding the marina and the blue Mediterranean sea and above the blue sky. A combination of colours that you never tire of as you enjoy the warm sunshine on the south-facing terrace. Everything in the resort is within walking distance and the attractive marina provides a wide range of restaurants and bars to suit your mood including top class cuisine in attractive locations overlooking the water. The elevated south-facing location of the villa ensures that there is good flow of cooling air from the front to the back of the villa.

The complex has its own very large private swimming pool, tennis courts and children's play area. There is a large splash pool on the private terrace of the villa. Air conditioning is in both bedrooms and the main living room. There is a large, modern Supermarket (Mercadona) in the marina and a larger hypermarket (COPO), cinemas, go karting track and other facilities, 7 Km, a short drive away. The villa is normally cleaned between lets with fresh, linen and towels. A cleaning service is subject to availability and a cash payment.

Travel Info: The nearest airport is Almeria with flights to Gatwick, Stansted, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Luton, Cardiff and East Midlands in the UK. There are domestic flights to Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Melilla, Minorca, Majorca. Malaga airport has more routes and is about 200 Km to the west. The journey time by car is about 2.5 hours mainly on the A7 Autovia Mediterraneo motorway with part of the route still on the old N340. There is a coach service to El Ejido bus station with a local service to Almerimar.

Retired Scientist Living in Spain since 2006.

I am a retired scientist living in my beautiful villa overlooking the Mediterranean sea in Andalucía in Spain. I own and enjoy a wide range of music including pop, folk, jazz, easy listening and classical and I have 146 albums and 2411 tracks. I have also enjoyed a very wide range of live concerts. I enjoy ballroom dancing and I have had some Spanish dance lessons. I like to watch dancing and particularly Spanish flamenco and traditional dancing and I have been to a large number of concerts. Dancing and walking keep me very fit. I have a busy social life meeting new people, enjoying good conversation. I like good food, nice restaurants, and enjoy a glass of wine all in a romantic setting. I don't take life too seriously, and enjoy each day as it comes, fun and laughter is priceless. I own a nice car and enjoy exploring the mountains, towns, villages, architecture and culture of Spain. I have many interests including photography of my travels, tending my gardens and growing my own vegetables, cooking and entertaining. I am always up for a new interest and adventure.

I was married for twenty eight years and I have three grown up children all extremely well educated with university degrees and very good careers. I have been divorced and on my own for nearly ten years. I have a science degree (BSc.) and had a very distinguished, successful and exciting career with Marconi Space and Defence Systems travelling all over Europe and into the USA. I have worked on major defence projects for the UK, US and European governments and NATO. Because I am a very honest, responsible and trustworthy person I had the very highest security clearance possible to work at NATO headquarters in Brussels. I was a business manager at Marconi and responsible for a very large number of people in Marconi, the United Kingdom, Europe and the USA and responsible for very large and expensive contracts. I also had my own company for ten years. My project for the last year has building a charity foundation to help orphan refugees from Africa to start a new life in Spain.
