A very pretty detached property with outstanding Mountain and Lake Views. There are lovely terraces, one shaded, and a private pool area with brick built barbeque and walled courtyard. Iznajar is situated near to the borders of Cordoba, Malaga, and Granada, and is easily reached from both Malaga and Granada Airports in around an hour or under. Iznajar appears like an island that rises out of the surrounding water and is perched on a hilltop. Its transformation occurred some years ago with the creation of the water reservoir, romantically called "The Lake of Andalucia". Iznajar now has a waterfront overlooking an inland sea some 30kms long, and containing an estimated 900 million cubic metres of water.

Activities nearby include: Horse riding, Golf within 30 mins drive, Fishing, its great for Walking holidays, Cycling holidays, and we are within easy reach of Water Parks, a Wolf Park, and cultural visits. Not forgetting a trip to the Alhambra Palace and skiing in the Sierra Nevada.


Outside:

There are lovely terraces, one of which is shaded, and private pool area for your sole use. The pool (6 x 3mts approx), is unheated. There are ample outdoor table, and chairs, sunloungers, you will spend more time outdoors than indoors I am sure. The sky at night will take your breath away ! Access to the property is via a concreted track into a gated secure parking area.

There are numerous world famous historic sites and museums including the unique Mosque in Cordoba city itself (the Mezquita) to the suggested Wonder of the World that is the Alhambra Palace in Granada to Flamenco Nights in Cordoba's Ancient Quarter, or a bullfight in Seville.

There is a never ending selection of exhibitions, fiestas and galleries, fierce and dramatic scenery together with the largest nativity scene hand made out of chocolate on view every year from October 12th in Rute.

We are less than 10 mins from the dramatic and historic white Andalucian town of Iznajar, the most southerly main town of the province of Cordoba, quite literally teetering on top of an immense rock that juts out into the spectacular lake fed in part by snow from the ski resort in the Sierra Nevada.

Coast/Beach:
We have a local beach at our beautiful Iznajar lake. It is very peaceful and never full or overcrowded, which makes it a pleasure to visit. If you want, you can then get to the coastal beaches in 45 minutes.

Golf:
Antequera golf is situated within 30 minutes drive, and we hear is fantastic. Many people travel up from Marbella and the coast to use it as the course is so good. You can either travel there yourself or take a taxi/mini bus for the day. Or you can go to the coast for golf as Malaga is only 45 minutes drive.

Skiing:
Skiing is easy to reach from Iznajar, the Sierra Nevada slopes are 1 hour and 20 minutes drive. There is a local company who does trips for the day with full packages that can be designed to your specific needs. A perfect Winter holiday is to relax at our Casa in the sunshine and then spend some time skiing so you really can have the best of both worlds.

• Travel Info: Malaga airport is under an hour away, as is the airport at Granada. It is possible to fly to Madrid and then get an interlink flight or drive to us. Its also possible to fly to Barcelona then get an interlink flight or drive down. Seville airport is also 2 hours away and Gibraltar airport is 2 hours away so you have a good choice of arriving at a reasonable time.
